  • Patent number: 10344575
Abstract: A process for producing carbon dioxide for use in hydrocarbon recovery includes the steps of transporting a combustion turbine generator to an oilfield, operating the combustion turbine generator in combined cycle so as to produce steam, power and carbon dioxide, injecting the carbon dioxide into a reservoir located within the oilfield so as to produce hydrocarbons from the reservoir, and transmitting the power to a utility or for use by equipment at the oilfield. The combustion turbine generator has a size of no more than 175 megawatts. The combustion turbine generator operating in combined cycle has a heat rate of between 7,500 to 12,000 BTUs per hour. • Publication number: 20150344770
Abstract: A method for producing carbon dioxide for use in hydrocarbon recovery has the steps of producing an exhaust stream from a combustion turbine, passing the exhaust stream through a heat recovery steam generator so as to produce a carbon dioxide-laden stream and a steam, absorbing the carbon dioxide from the carbon-dioxide laden stream into a solution, pumping the solution to a stripper so as to produce carbon dioxide gas, compressing the carbon dioxide gas from the stripper, and injecting the compressed carbon dioxide gas into a hydrocarbon-bearing formation. The combustion turbine and the heat recovery steam generator are portable.

  • Patent number: 8830112
Abstract: A radar jamming signal generated by equipment carried by a target aircraft, is launched onto the leading end of a towed single wire transmission line so as to travel the length of the line as a nonradiating surface wave. A drogue radiator is attached to the trailing end of the line for radiating the jamming signal transversely of the towed line so as to be received by and cause jamming of tracking and/or fire control radar. The length of the single wire transmission line is selected so that the trailing radiator causes the jamming signal to emanate from a position sufficiently behind the aircraft so as to be outside the destructive radius of weapon fire directed at the apparent source of the jamming signal by fire control radar. A ventriloqual-like deception of the radar is thus achieved.

  • Publication number: 20130341924
Abstract: A process for enhanced oil recovery includes the steps of producing steam in at least a first pressure range and a second pressure range, passing the steam of the first pressure range to a steam turbine so as to produce power therefrom, passing the steam of the second pressure range to an amine capture system such that carbon dioxide is delivered therefrom, and injecting the carbon dioxide from the amine capture system into a well for enhanced oil recovery. Steam of a third pressure range can be passed to an absorption chiller so as to cool a liquid therein. The first pressure range is greater than the second pressure range.

  • Publication number: 20120090325
Abstract: A process for enhancing the energy output of an ethanol production facility has the steps of producing ethanol and stillage from a feedstock, anaerobically digesting said stillage so as to produce carbon dioxide and methane, compressing the methane, compressing the carbon dioxide, and, passing the compressed carbon dioxide to an oil-bearing formation. The compressed carbon dioxide is injected under pressure into the oil-bearing formation so as to produce live crude and natural gas. The compressed methane is delivered to a combustion turbine so as to produced power and an exhaust. The exhaust of the combustion turbine is passed to a steam turbine so as to produce steam and power.

  • Patent number: 7458091
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for identifying a plurality of events which are played back simultaneously on a plurality of networked client apparatuses. First, a plurality of events are stored in memory on a plurality of client apparatuses. The events each have a unique identifier associated therewith and which are stored in the memory. In operation, the client apparatuses are adapted to be coupled to a host computer via a network. The identifier of the event which is stored in the memory of the client apparatuses is then retrieved utilizing the network. Such identifier is subsequently compared with an identifier of a scheduled event. If the comparison renders a match, the playback of the event is begun on each of the client apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 7269634
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for remotely controlling content stored on a local computer connected to a network system such as the Internet. The invention allows content such as DVD Video content to be locked so that play can only be accomplished through verification of user identity and also allows augmentation and supplementation of the content provided by the video from a remote server. In addition, upon verification of user client credentials, the present invention allows the locally stored content to be supplemented with additional content delivered over the network system. Furthermore, the present invention allows content stored locally on a client device to be remotely controlled to play synchronously on a plurality of client devices.

  • Patent number: 7188193
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for creating a synchronizer object in order to playback an event simultaneously on a plurality of a client apparatuses. First, a request is received utilizing a network for viewing an event. Next, the request is queued in memory. In response to the request, an object is created which is adapted to playback the event on a client apparatus simultaneous with the playback of the event on the remaining client apparatuses upon the receipt of an activation signal. The object is sent to one of the client apparatuses utilizing the network for being stored therein.

  • Patent number: 6941383
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for synchronizing an event on a plurality of client apparatuses. First, a plurality of client apparatuses are connected via a network. Next, an application program is embedded on a site on the network. In use, information is requested from a server on the network utilizing the application program. Such information relates to an event to be played back simultaneously on the client apparatuses. In response to such request, a script is received for displaying the information.

  • Publication number: 20040244041
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for delayed synchronization of an event on a plurality of client apparatuses. First, a plurality of client apparatuses are connected via a network and an event is stored in memory on the client apparatuses. The event is then simultaneously played back on the client apparatuses utilizing the network. During the simultaneous playback, a request may be received from one of the client apparatuses for that particular client to be included in the synchronized event. In response to the request, information is transmitted to the requesting client apparatus utilizing the network. This information is adapted for identifying a location in the memory where the event is currently being played back on the remaining client apparatuses. This allows the simultaneous playback of the event on the requesting client apparatus.
