    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to monitoring data in and around a vehicle to predict anomalous, e.g., unsafe, road conditions, and using the data to suggest a corrective action to avoid the unsafe road conditions. A computing device receives information indicative of imagery, sound, or vehicle operation via sensors and/or cameras mounted in or near a vehicle. The information may be received via the vehicle itself or via a device. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of an anomalous road condition. The computing device also receives vehicle operation data extracted from one or more vehicle sensors. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of unsafe road conditions, and if there is, the computing device may output a notice or alert via a notification system to alert the driver.

The system comprises a computing system that considers environmental conditions such as external and structural factors about the target location to determine an optimal time and route that should be employed in order to best obtain the desired images of selected structures. The factors can include data about the weather, lighting, and atmospheric conditions in the target region, as well as specific physical characteristics for the structures and surrounding land, and features that have been designated as being of higher importance. By customizing the flight path to reflect the target location's particular environmental and structural conditions, the UAV can obtain images of greater quality and relevance.

An insurance coverage recommendation system can retrieve data for a planned activity of the user, including a description for the planned activity and its location and duration. The system can then predict weather for the planned activity. Using the description for the activity, the location, the duration, and the predicted weather, the system can generate a user activity profile. The profile can be analyzed with a machine learning model, trained based on past insurance claims, to generate one or more needed insurance coverage levels for the planned activity. The needed insurance coverage levels can be mapped to one or more respective insurance coverage recommendations for applicable insurance products.

    Abstract: A system and method provide a two-way pager system. Members use pager systems to communicate in situations where they lack power or access to other modes of communication. For example, the pagers have a switching system that allows users to broadcast information about their current situation in an emergency. For example, the system could use switches that could be set to three different settings. Separate switches could be used for different categories of resources required in an emergency, and the switches could take on settings that represent resource requirements and availability. A centralized system listens for pages from users' pagers that transmit the switch settings for the categories. The centralized system then determines which users lack certain resources, which users have sufficient resources, and which users need certain resources. The system then transmits information through the pager network to inform users where to find resources that they are lacking.

Specifically, the communication device may be a telephone service powered hotspot that plugs into a telephone jack of a Public Switched Telephone Network. The telephone plug of the hotspot provides power and a telephone connection for the hotspot. The hotspot may include a modem that can use the telephone connection to connect the hotspot to an Internet Service Provider. By using such a connection, the modem can provide dial-up internet connectivity for the hotspot. The hotspot can use the power supply to provide a wired or wireless power source for nearby devices after a disaster disables usual power sources. The hotspot can use the internet access from the modem to provide wired or wireless internet access for the nearby devices. However, because dial-up connectivity can have a very limited bandwidth, the hotspot may throttle applications when the bandwidth requires such throttling.

In one embodiment, a smartwatch is connected to the CAN bus of a vehicle so that data can be transmitted between the watch and onboard sensors. In one embodiment, onboard vehicle sensors may detect a sudden deceleration indicating that an accident may have occurred. At the same time, data from an occupant of the vehicle can be used to confirm if the occupant experienced a sudden deceleration at the same time, indicating that a crash has occurred.
