  • Publication number: 20200368638
Abstract: A system for separating a solute from high pressure CO2 is provided. The system includes a flash tank receiving a medium pressure rich solvent stream of CO2. In the flash tank, droplets of the medium pressure rich solvent stream of CO2 fall downwardly and accumulate to form a solvent liquid. A heating system is submerged in the solvent liquid and causes the solvent liquid to boil, which releases gaseous CO2 and results in a solute precipitating to the bottom of the flash tank. A liquid level transmitter monitors the level of the solvent liquid and controls the heating system to keep the liquid level above the heating system. The precipitated solute is extracted from the flash tank through a solute egress located at the bottom of the flash tank and controlled by a solute valve.

  • Patent number: 10374317
Abstract: An exponentially tapered slot antenna assembly includes a plurality of antenna panels arranged together in a general box-like configuration. At each corner of the box-like configuration, a capacitive load panel is in operative electrical communication with orthogonal pairs of antenna panels. Each antenna panel defines an inner and outer surface and has an electromagnetic interference shielding material positioned thereon. The shielding material positioned may be positioned near a first or upper edge of each antenna panel of the assembly. It has been empirically determined that this configuration enables an operational bandwidth that is greater than 5:1 and a voltage standing wave ratio that is less than 3:1 over the 5:1 bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20170316265
Abstract: Described is a system for feature selection for formal concept analysis (FCA). A set of data points having features is separated into object classes. For each object class, the data points are convolved with a Gaussian function, resulting in a class distribution curve for each known object class. For each class distribution curve, a binary array is generated having ones on intervals of data values on which the class distribution curve is maximum with respect to all other class distribution curves, and zeroes elsewhere. For each object class, a binary class curve indicating for which interval a performance of the known object class exceeds all other known object classes is generated. The intervals are ranked with respect to a predetermined confidence threshold value. The ranking of the intervals is used to select which features to extract from the set of data points in FCA lattice construction.

  • Publication number: 20140011926
Abstract: A rubber composition with disperse phase particles containing poly(phenylene ether) can be formed by a method that includes melt blending an uncured rubber with a poly(phenylene ether) composition containing a poly(phenylene ether) and an oil to form an uncured rubber composition, then curing the uncured rubber composition. Before being blended with the rubber, the poly(phenylene ether) composition exhibits a glass transition temperature of about 40 to about 140° C., and during blending with the rubber, the oil component of poly(phenylene ether) composition migrates from the poly(phenylene ether) composition to the rubber, leaving a poly(phenylene ether)-containing disperse phase that gives rise to a second hysteresis peak temperature of about 160 to about 220° C. as measured by dynamic mechanical analysis of the cured rubber composition.

  • Patent number: 8280542
Abstract: A dental prosthesis is made by first forming a model of a patient's dentition. A three dimensional digital data corresponding to the surfaces of the model is then created. Based on this data, a three dimensional digital data file is then created substantially corresponding to the dental prosthesis to be manufactured. The three dimensional digital data of the dental prosthesis to be manufactured is next transmitted to automated prototyping equipment, and using the automated prototyping equipment, a wax pattern of the dental prosthesis is manufactured based upon this three dimensional digital data of the dental prosthesis. Finally, using this wax pattern in the lost wax investment casting process, the dental prosthesis is made. Prior to investment casting, marginal edges of the wax pattern are adjusted manually.
