  • Publication number: 20200368638
Abstract: A system for separating a solute from high pressure CO2 is provided. The system includes a flash tank receiving a medium pressure rich solvent stream of CO2. In the flash tank, droplets of the medium pressure rich solvent stream of CO2 fall downwardly and accumulate to form a solvent liquid. A heating system is submerged in the solvent liquid and causes the solvent liquid to boil, which releases gaseous CO2 and results in a solute precipitating to the bottom of the flash tank. A liquid level transmitter monitors the level of the solvent liquid and controls the heating system to keep the liquid level above the heating system. The precipitated solute is extracted from the flash tank through a solute egress located at the bottom of the flash tank and controlled by a solute valve.

  • Publication number: 20200253784
Abstract: Apparatus for protection of the ear and ear canal, and related methods of use and operation. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated valve which permits a varying or modulated size of aperture to be created by the wearer while the apparatus is in use, so as to accommodate varying functions, such as complete occlusion (e.g., for use in swimming or other acquatic activities such that water can be completely excluded) or partial occlusion (e.g., such that sounds can be heard by the wearer, whether in air or under water). In one implementation, the apparatus is retained within the ear canal of the wearer by virtue of the apparatus' shape and coordination with one or more natural features or contours of the anatomy in the ear region, without having to be inserted more than superficially into the outer portion of the ear canal.

  • Publication number: 20200232289
Abstract: A technique facilitates drilling operations by combining a conductor with a conductor sharing offset shoe system. The conductor sharing offset shoe system protects against collision of boreholes by properly positioning and/or orienting a drill string during drilling of boreholes through the conductor. The conductor sharing offset shoe system may comprise a bullnose disposed at a lower end of the shoe system and an upper guide member disposed at an upper end of the shoe system with a guide opening sized to receive the drill string therethrough. A guide tubing extends from the guide opening into the bullnose to guide the drill string during drilling of a borehole.

  • Patent number: 10671917
Abstract: Described is a system for neural decoding of neural activity. Using at least one neural feature extraction method, neural data that is correlated with a set of behavioral data is transformed into sparse neural representations. Semantic features are extracted from a set of semantic data. Using a combination of distinct classification modes, the set of semantic data is mapped to the sparse neural representations, and new input neural data can be interpreted.
