    Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are therefore provided in order to provide for display of waveforms. An example method may include displaying a first waveform, receiving an input selecting a portion of the first waveform, and generating, using a processor, an interface control displaying the selected portion of the first waveform. The interface control may include a semi-transparent display area and the selected portion of the first waveform may be displayed on the semi-transparent display area. The method may also include displaying the interface control concurrently with a second waveform such that at least a portion of the second waveform is visible through the semi-transparent display area of the interface control.
