  • Patent number: 11970895
Abstract: A hinge bracket assembly includes an appliance wrapper defining a first receiving space extending in a first direction, a second receiving space extending in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and a third receiving space extending in a third direction oriented at an acute angle relative to the first direction. An anchor plate is engaged with the appliance wrapper and includes a retention member received by the first receiving space, a first flange received by the second receiving space, and a second flange received by the third receiving space. A hinge plate is coupled with the anchor plate and includes a protrusion received by a slot defined by the retention member. The appliance wrapper is positioned between the anchor and hinge plates. A locking arm is selectively engaged with the anchor and hinge plates and is rotatable between an unlocked position and a locked position.

  • Patent number: 11939801
Abstract: A hinge bracket assembly includes an anchor plate. A retention member extends perpendicular to the anchor plate. The anchor plate defines a first receiving aperture. A hinge plate is aligned with the anchor plate and includes a hinge arm and a protrusion. The protrusion extends from an edge of the hinge plate opposite the hinge arm. The hinge plate defines a second receiving aperture aligned with the first receiving aperture when the protrusion is received by a space defined by the retention member. A locking arm is rotatable between an unlocked position and a locked position and is configured to be at least partially received by the first and second receiving apertures to couple the anchor plate and the hinge plate.

  • Patent number: 7286906
Abstract: A control system and method selects a switch configuration for a power circuit having N binary switches, based in part on a finite state machine. The control system includes an embedded simulator, and present and next state contemplators. The various switch states of the power circuit are modeled by the finite state machine such that at any time, the power circuit switches are in a Present State and there are a plurality of Next States which are one or more switch transitions away from the Present State. The embedded simulator estimates the operating conditions of the load based on measured operational characteristics and the Present State. The present state contemplator determines, based on the operating conditions, whether a switch state transition should be contemplated. If so, the next state contemplator determines the optimal next state based on performance criteria and sends a state switch command to the power circuit.

  • Publication number: 20030163296
Abstract: A control system and control method provides improved control of various loads by selecting the switch configuration of an associated power circuit having N binary switches, based in part on a finite state machine. The control system includes an embedded simulator, a present state contemplator and a next state contemplator to predict the operation of the load based on various switch configurations of the power circuit. The various switch states of the power circuit are modeled by the finite state machine (having up to 2N switch states) such that at any time, the power circuit switches are in a Present State and there are a plurality of Next States which are one or more switch transitions away from the Present State. The embedded simulator estimates the operating conditions of the load based on measured operational characteristics and the Present State. The present state contemplator determines, based on the operating conditions, whether a switch state transition should be contemplated.

  • Patent number: 6517748
Abstract: A phosphate and ammonia free composition for treating an object (i.e., lumber, plywood and other wood products) is described. The treating solution may be applied to the object by dipping, soaking, brushing, spraying, etc., however, vacuum and/or pressure techniques may be used to impregnate the object according to the method of this invention, including both the empty-cell process and the full-cell process. The composition achieves fire retardant qualities without object degradation when the treated object is subjected to heat and humidity over time. The composition of this invention includes nitrogen in a predetermined ratio to boron.

  • Patent number: 6164504
Abstract: A clothes hanger extender which attaches to standard plastic clothes hanger so as to be able to adjust for different sized garments. The channel end has a hollow interior with a substantially elliptical cross section. The first portion of the channel, the channel locking portion, has a locking portion width which is smaller than the channel end's interior diameter. The second portion of the channel, the channel transition portion, connects the channel locking portion with the channel adjustment portion to make a continuous channel. The last portion of the channel is the channel adjustment portion. The channel adjustment portion allows the clothes hanger extender to slide over a standard plastic clothes hanger. The channel adjustment portion alternatively terminates at the shoulder end, or is the shoulder end, depending upon whether the shoulder end is a separate component.

The process comprises reacting a solution of orthophosphoric acid, urea and water having a weight ratio from about 0.1 to about 15 orthophosphoric acid per part urea for a time of about 15 minutes to about 3 hours at a temperature from about 25.degree. C. to about 90.degree. C.; adding hydroxide in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH of the solution from about 6.0 to about 9.0; reacting the solution with formaldehyde having a weight ratio from about 1.0 to about 56 total initial orthophosphoric acid per part formaldehyde for a time of about 5 minutes to about 1.5 hours at a temperature from about 25.degree. C. to about 90.degree. C., and adjusting the final pH of the solution from about 7.0 to about 8.5 with ammonium hydroxide.
