  • Patent number: 6161947
Abstract: A light fixture assembly includes a mounting plate, a ballast housing, and an adapter ring for attaching the ballast housing to the mounting plate. The adapter ring includes an annular body having opposite upper and lower annular portions and opposite exterior and interior sides. The upper annular portion has a continuous upper annular surface located between the opposite exterior and interior sides and adapted for sealably engaging the mounting plate. The lower annular portion has a continuous lower annular surface located between the opposite exterior and interior sides and adapted for sealably engaging the ballast housing. Upper and lower exterior fastening arrangements are provided on the adapter ring for removably securing the ballast housing to the mounting plate. The upper fastening arrangement is disposed on the upper annular portion of the annular body at the exterior side thereof and spaced outwardly from the continuous upper annular surface of the annular body.

  • Patent number: 6080024
Abstract: A multi-stranded conductor terminal assembly includes an outer housing, a termination element, a contact pad, and a fastener rotatably mounting the contact pad to an inner end of the termination element. The outer housing has a main cavity open at one end for receiving therein conductor strands of the multi-stranded conductor and an internally threaded side opening extending from an exterior side of the outer housing to the main cavity thereof. The termination element is rotatably insertable within and removable from the side opening of the outer housing. The contact pad is adapted to contact the conductor strands upon rotatable advancement of the termination element into the side opening of the outer housing toward the conductor strands in the main cavity of the outer housing.

  • Patent number: 5904599
Abstract: An electrical connector pin device includes an elongated body and a wire spring insert. The body has an external surface and defines an axial bore and a radial slot therein. The radial slot extends radially outwardly from the axial bore to the external surface, opening at the external surface. The wire spring insert is disposed within the axial bore and radial slot of the body. The wire spring insert is movable between non-compressed and compressed conditions. In the non-compressed condition, a portion of the wire spring insert extends above the external surface of the body, while in the compressed condition, the wire spring insert is deformed by an annular wall of a sleeve of an external electrical receptacle and pushed below the external surface of the body and thereby generates a spring force creating contact pressure diametrically opposed to the annular wall of the sleeve of the receptacle so as to releasably retain the body within the sleeve of the receptacle.
