Abstract: A tang extends from a cover pivotally attached to a mounting plate of an electrical outlet to interconnect with and lockingly engage a lip extending from the mounting plate. A key, insertable through a keyway in the bottom side of the cover, is used to force the tang upwardly out of engagement with the lip and to unlock the cover from the mounting plate. Subsequent downward pivotal movement of the cover toward the mounting plate will relock the cover.

Abstract: A bracket for supporting an electrical socket unit within an electrical outlet box includes elements for realigning the bracket relative to the outlet box and elements for laterally and longitudinally supporting the bracket within the outlet box at any realigned location. Pivot elements for pivotally attaching a cover and lock elements for locking the cover are disclosed.

A pivotally or removably attached lockable cover, flush with the adjacent wall surface, seals the opening to the housing against intrusion of foreign matter while accommodating externally extending cords from the plugged in male plugs.

Abstract: A timer assembly for automatically controlling outdoor electrical devices such as low voltage lawn sprinkler systems includes a rugged, weatherproof housing for removably containing a conventional, indoor type timer and an optional step-down transformer. The housing comprises a box member, which is divided into two compartments by means of a ledge member, and a cover member hingedly connected to the box member to selectively provide and block access to the compartments. The ledge member comprises a pair of openings for allowing wires to pass between the two compartments. The bottom wall of the box member comprises a pair of openings for allowing input wires to enter the housing and output wires to exit the housing.

The cover comprises a mouting plate which is demountably secured to the outlet housing in place of a conventional face plate, and a lid member which is demountably and pivotably mounted over the mounting plate. At least one access slot is provided in the bottom of the lid member for enabling a corresponding number of electrical cords to be extended therethrough. A first sealing member is disposed between the mounting plate and the wall which surrounds the outlet housing, and a second sealing member is disposed between the lid member and the mounting plate, in order to prevent foreign matter from entering the outlet.
