Publication number: 20190333179Abstract: A method of determining optimal location for reaching destined locations by traversing traffic in a least time of determining is disclosed. Traffic information and incident information may be received using an input device. The traffic information and the incident information may be used to determine traffic and incidents associated with an area, and successively to determine a correlation score. The correlation score is calculated by analyzing the traffic information and the incident information. Further, an optimal location is determined based on the correlation score, for staging a first responder. Thus, the first responders could reach any of the destined locations in least time, when an incident occurs.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2019Publication date: October 31, 2019Inventors: William A. Publication number: 20190333375Abstract: A current or forecasted weather condition at an intersection or roadway may be identified using cameras and/or other weather sensors connected with traffic infrastructure installed at the intersection or roadway. Adverse traffic events typically associated with weather conditions of the same type as the identified weather condition may be determined, for example based on historical records of correlations between weather and traffic. The traffic infrastructure may adjust an option, for example by adjusting traffic signal timings, to mitigate the adverse traffic event in response to identifying the weather condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2019Publication date: October 31, 2019Inventors: William A. Patent number: 10012251Abstract: A mounting bracket for securing a camera or other device to a hollow pole includes an L-shaped member, attached to the device, with a vertical surface that engages the outer surface of the pole and a horizontal surface that rests on the top surface of the pole while a downwardly-projecting member slides into the top of the pole allowing the device to hang stably on the pole during alignment. Patent number: 5903319Abstract: A method and apparatus for the elimination of temporal and spacial distortions from interlaced video signals, particularly those that occur in signals associated with affine transformations. This elimination is particularly of value for signals that have been magnified so as to prevent the visual appearance of reverse movement of moving images. The removal of these distortions is achieved by sequentially inputting the images fields into three field buffers, updating the data in a rotary manner. This data is withdrawn from any two of the field buffers, while the third field buffer is being updated, and averaging the data from the two. When such averaged data is displayed, there is no apparent reverse direction motion to the image. The method and apparatus are applied to a system wherein there is affine transformation to achieve selected pan, tilt, rotation and magnification of images during the correction of distorted images received from a wide angle lens.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1995Date of Patent: May 11, 1999Assignee: Interactive Pictures CorporationInventors: Nicholas Busko, H.
