  • Patent number: 5180488
Abstract: A filter screen assembly for removing particulate material from a slurry in a vessel. Mass producible slotted faced plates are assembled in pairs to enclose a chamber means between two slotted faces, an apertured edge and three closed edges mounted on a collector tube with the chamber in communication with the bore of the tube through said apertured edge, one end of the tube being closed and the other end being in communication with an intake port of a pump and said chambers. A filter media envelopes assembled pairs of slotted faced plates and the portion of the collector tube they are mounted on, while the other portion of the collector tube projects from an opening in said envelope and is sealingly engaged by a collar portion of the media secured against the collector tube. Reduced pressure impressed on the interior of the collector tube causes a slurry of liquid and particulate no greater than a predetermined size to be drawn through the media and slots in the plates.

  • Patent number: 5000846
Abstract: A filter screen assembly for removing particulate material from a slurry. The assembly includes filter media for accumulating particulate of larger than predetermined size as filter cake exteriorly of plates having a plurality of slots therein. A hook member along an edge of each of the plates engages a tubular distributor having slots therealong. Each of the slots of the tubular distributor receives the hook member of one of the plates so that the plates are mounted on the tubular distributor. Other edges of the plates are connected to form chamber means therebetween. The chamber means communicates with the interior of the tubular distributor. A reduced pressure is impressed on the interior of the tubular distributor to cause liquid of the slurry to be drawn through the slots in the plates so that the particular material collects on the outside of the plates.

  • Patent number: 4932842
Abstract: A suction apparatus useful as a vacuum pump, aerator or the like comprises a fluid inlet housing having a nozzle support plate which includes a plurality of nozzles having a discharge outlet located within a suction chamber. These nozzles each align with the passageway of a hollow suction tube having an inlet within the suction chamber and an outlet spaced from a deflector plate. A fluid such as liquid is ejected from the discharge outlet of the nozzles and in the course of passage into the suction tubes a negative pressure is created within the suction chamber which draws a second fluid such as air through the suction chamber and into the passageway of the suction tubes for combination with the liquid therein forming a combined liquid-gas fluid stream.

  • Patent number: 4726152
Abstract: A bracket for mounting a fixture on a wall of a building. The bracket includes a hollow neck structure. At one end of the neck structure is flange means which is mounted on sheathing of the wall. The other end of the neck structure is closed by a main plate. An edge portion of the main plate extends outwardly of the neck structure spaced from the flange means to form an annular socket in which edge portions of siding of the wall terminate. The fixture can be mounted on the main plate, and access to the fixture can be had through an opening in the main plate.
