  • Patent number: 11969877
Abstract: A technique for facilitating deployment and stowing of a ballistic shield on a vehicle includes providing a central armored panel having a hinged connection to a base, which may be coupled to or integral with the vehicle. The hinged connection includes an axle and a set of torsion springs configured to exert a lifting torque on the central armored panel relative to the base, such that the central armored panel is movable about the hinged connection for assuming both an upright, deployed position and a laid-down, stowed position.

  • Patent number: 11940892
Abstract: A system includes a memory device and a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory device. The processing device is to perform operations, including initializing a block family associated with the memory device; aggregating temperature values received from one or more temperature sensors of the memory device over time to determine an aggregate temperature; responsive to beginning to program a block residing on the memory device, associating the block with the block family; and in response to the aggregate temperature being greater than or equal to a specified threshold temperature value: performing a soft closure of the block family; initializing an extension timer; continuing to program data to the block; and performing a hard closure of the block family in response to one of the extension timer reaching an extension time value or the block family satisfying a hard closure criteria.

  • Publication number: 20230395984
Abstract: An electronic device may have an upper housing and a lower housing separated by a slot. An antenna module may be mounted in the lower housing and may include a cavity. An antenna element may be disposed within the cavity. Grounded traces may be patterned onto walls of the module and may be coupled to conductive walls of the lower housing by conductive gaskets. The antenna element may have a high band arm displaced farther into the cavity than a low band arm by a shim. The antenna module may have an acoustic port aligned with a speaker port. The acoustic port may allow sound waves from a speaker to pass into the cavity from the speaker port. The cavity may be configured to optimize an audio response of the speaker while concurrently optimizing radio-frequency performance of the antenna element.

  • Patent number: 11793713
Abstract: An adjustable stroke length percussion massage device includes a stroke arm connected to a piston which is connected to a massage tool for providing a massage to a user. The stroke arm is secured to a crank pin of a crank mechanism which includes a rotatably connected crank housing and crank base, the crank pin being movably secured between the crank housing and crank base such that the crank pin moves from a first end to a second end of a sliding groove located in the cam housing when a rotation direction of the single unit is reversed by a motor. When the crank pin is moved from the first end to the second end of the sliding groove, a stroke length of the piston is changed.

  • Publication number: 20230223681
Abstract: An electronic device may have an upper housing and a lower housing separated by a slow. A substrate may be mounted in the lower housing and may have an inner surface facing an interior of the lower housing and an outer surface facing the slot. Ventilation port openings may extend from the outer surface to the inner surface. Ribs in the substrate may separate the ventilation port openings. The ribs may include notches at the inner surface. An antenna may include conductive traces within multiple ventilation port openings and extending through the notches. The conductive traces may be offset from the outer surface. The outer surface of the substrate may be free from conductive material from the antenna. This may serve to maximize antenna efficiency while protecting the antenna from external forces and debris or other contaminants that pass through the slot during use of the electronic device over time.

  • Publication number: 20220036470
Abstract: A user interface, system and method are described for assigning an insurance claim to a claim manager. The user interface allows teams of claim managers to he built so to efficiently process insurance claims as they are presented to a disability insurance carrier. The process of assigning the claim begins upon receiving an indication of a new insurance claim from a claim intake engine. Subsequently, the system determines the type of insurance claim based on metadata associated with the claim. Based on the metadata associated with the claim, a list of members in a team, of claim, managers is obtained, and a specific member is assigned as a claim manager for that claim.

  • Patent number: 11186430
Abstract: A cargo container for resting on a seat of a vehicle. An upper portion of the cargo container defines a first internal storage space and comprises a first bottom panel to rest on the seat of the vehicle. The upper portion has a first depth corresponding with a depth of the seat. The upper portion comprises a hinged door openable to provide access to the first internal storage space and closable to restrict access to the first internal storage space. A leg portion extends from the upper portion. The leg portion has a second depth less than the first depth. The leg portion is sized to engage a floor of the vehicle when the first bottom panel is resting on the seat of the vehicle. A seatbelt engagement feature is coupled to the upper portion and is configured to engage a seatbelt for the seat of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11070300
Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry that is tested in a test system. The test system may include test probes. Circuitry under test may wirelessly transmit test signals. The test probes may receive the test signals at multiple locations. Circuitry may measure direct current (DC) voltages generated by the test probes and may convert the voltages to electric field magnitudes. A test host may process the electric field magnitudes to determine whether the circuitry under test exhibits a satisfactory radiation pattern. The test probes may include dielectric substrates and one or more dipole elements coupled to respective diodes. The dipole elements may include indium tin oxide (ITO) and may include first and second sets of orthogonal dipole elements. Transmission lines coupled to the dipole elements may include ITO and may form low pass filters that convert rectified voltages produced by the diodes into the DC voltages.
