  • Publication number: 20250034359
Abstract: Disclosed are plasticizer compositions in the form of crop-based secondary amines prepared through catalyzed reductive amination (RA) of furans with aminated ketones. Exemplary furans include, but are not limited to, furfural, 5-(hydroxymethyl) furfural (HMF), and 2,5-diformylfuran (DFF). These furans may be crop-based. Furfural, for example, may be made through dehydration of xylose isolated from corn cobs. Exemplary aminated ketones include, but are not limited to, crop-based aminated ketones such as 2-aminoundecane. For example, 2-aminoundecane may be prepared through catalyzed RA of 2-undecanone from the seed oil of Cuphea. These RA reactions may be catalyzed using, for example, Pd/C. In some embodiments, the plasticizer compositions function as plasticizers when blended with polyvinylchloride (PVC) and/or other polymers to form plasticized compositions. Processes for making the plasticizer compositions and plasticized compositions are also disclosed.

The needle can have a substantially straight configuration when located within the elongate tubular body, and be configured to exit an opening at or near a distal end of the elongate tubular body and assume a laterally biased or curved shape to form a path through tissue. The needle is configured to carry a suture. The retrieval element can be configured to retrieve the suture carried by the needle after the needle has formed a curved or otherwise angled path through tissue. The system can also include one or more bone anchors to secure the suture loops. Methods of placing one or more suture loops into tissue, such as the base of the tongue, are also described.

  • Patent number: 12122530
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assisting operation of a vehicle to satisfy a downpath energy constraint when a current energy state has deviated from a reference energy state according to a planned route of travel. One method involves identifying an intermediate energy constraint at an intermediate point en route to the downpath waypoint, determining a first segment for satisfying the intermediate energy constraint at the intermediate point from the current energy state using a first configuration, determining a second segment from the intermediate point that satisfies the requested energy constraint at the downpath waypoint using a different configuration, and providing graphical indicia of the recommended path including the first and second segments. The graphical indicia includes a first graphical indication of the first configuration associated with the first segment and a second graphical indication of the second configuration associated with the second segment.

  • Patent number: 12064824
Abstract: A material handling apparatus and a process for feed indexing. The process for feed indexing and processing of elongated stock includes the steps of gripping and moving an elongated stock with a first shuttle vise at a desired travel velocity toward a first final position. An open second vise accelerates from a second home start position until reaching the desired travel velocity. The second vise grips and moves the stock once the second vise is at the desired travel velocity while the first vise is gripping the stock. The first vise releases the stock and recycles to a first home position while the second vise moves the stock.

  • Patent number: 11930744
Abstract: A system and method of irrigation control calculates a predicted soil moisture value based that is compared to low moisture threshold. If the predicted soil moisture value is a value below the low moisture threshold value, the next irrigation cycle or scheduled irrigation operation is allowed to proceed or otherwise activated.
