Patent number: 9149055Abstract: A cotton candy machine includes a floss head comprised of a floss head cap, a heated filament spinning screen, a floss head base and a rotatable retaining cap, all removable from said head without tools by manually rotating said retaining cap. A floater includes a vane, a shank and a shank end. Sockets on the upper surface of the retaining cap capture the shanks of plural floaters. The floaters are relative rigid and of selective pitch to produce sugar fiber cooling air flow, and are non-porous for enhanced cleaning. The floss head is easily manually disassembled for cleaning.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2013Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: Gold Medal Products CompanyInventors: Michael James Berry, Timothy A. Rhome

Patent number: 9101152Abstract: A floss bowl is formed from a plurality of tapered, nestable segments which can be coupled together in a bowl configuration for use on a cotton candy machine. The segments can be disassembled for cleaning, or can be nested for storage or shipment. Methods are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2013Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: Gold Medal Products CompanyInventor: Michael James Berry

Patent number: 8953613Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) for connections to applications over a network are provided. The method receives a message associated with the application, wherein the message includes information identifying the connection to the application and information about the application. The method then determines, based on a set of rules defined for the application, a QoS level to apply to the connection, and applies the determined QoS level to the connection. The QoS applied to the connection corresponds to the application and not the QoS associated with a personal or home account QoS that would otherwise be applied to the connection.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2010Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: Bridgewater Systems Corp.Inventors: Andrew Jamie Davidson, David John Brooks, Michael James Berry

Patent number: 8061699Abstract: A clamping system for clamping aerofoils. The clamping system has pivotally mounted engagement members that engage the aerofoil mounted on a pivotally mounted arm either side of the pivotal mounting. The arm can pivot as required relative to the item, to accommodate differences in shape in the item, while providing a substantially equal clamping force by both engagement members.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2009Date of Patent: November 22, 2011Assignee: Rolls-Royce PLCInventors: Yan Wang, Nabil Gindy, Kevin Walker, Jamie Charles McGourlay, Michael James Berry

Patent number: 7852849Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) for connections to virtual private networks (VPNs) are provided. The method receives a message from an organization associated with the VPN, wherein the message includes information identifying the VPN connection and information associated with the organization. The method then determines, based on a set of rules defined for the organization, a QoS level to apply to the connection, and applies the determined QoS level to the connection. The QoS applied to the connection corresponds to the organization hosting the VPN and not the QoS associated with a personal or home account QoS that would otherwise be applied to the connection.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2008Date of Patent: December 14, 2010Assignee: Bridgewater Systems Corp.Inventors: Andrew Jamie Davidson, David John Brooks, Michael James Berry
