  • Patent number: 11976498
Abstract: A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latching assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. Additional features of the container may include handles and strength increasing features. The base and lid may also feature attachment points for various accessories. A carry strap may attach to the base of the container to allow a user to lift and carry the container. The container may also have a wheels attached to the bottom portion and/or across the bottom portion to one side of the sidewall structure. In addition, in exemplary containers with wheels, a pull handle may be attached to a side opposite the wheels. The lid may include a lid support member that can act as a molle board to releasably secure items to the lid support member while also providing structural support to the lid.

  • Publication number: 20180251390
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating spent process water containing sulfate and calcium ions. A treatment method includes adding sodium aluminate to a volume of the spent process water to form a solid precipitate containing aluminum, calcium, and sulfate compounds such as ettringite (Ca6Al2(SO4)3(OH)12.26H2O). The solid precipitate is removed from the process water by clarifying and/or filtration, yielding a disposable solid waste material and a treated process water having concentrations of sulfate and calcium ions significantly lower relative to the initial concentrations in the spent process water.

  • Patent number: 7370021
Abstract: A neural network module is provided. It comprises an input layer comprising one or more input nodes configured to receive gene expression data. It also has a rule base layer comprising one or more rule nodes and an output layer comprising one or more output nodes configured to output one or more conditions. It also comprises an adaptive component configured to extract one or more rules from the rule base layer representing relationships between the gene expression data and the one or more conditions. Methods and systems using the module are disclosed as well as specific profiles utilising the system.

  • Patent number: 6961541
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhancing security in a wireless network using distance measurement techniques provides an additional layer of security and privacy in wireless communications. A distance measurement or location-finding is performed between two devices by transmitting and receiving one or more signals and computing a distance between the two devices or a location of a connecting device. The resulting computed distance or location is used to determine whether or not to permit pairing, secure connection or secure transactions between the two devices. The computed distance or location can be further used in combination with a signal strength measurement to link to locate and measure nearby devices first, reducing the time required to initialize network communications.

  • Publication number: 20030232598
Abstract: A method and apparatus for intrusion management in a wireless network uses distance measurement or location finding techniques to permit an administrator to manage security within a wireless network. A distance measurement or location-finding is performed between devices by transmitting and receiving one or more signals and computing an indication of physical location of a device attempting to connect or communicating within a wireless network. The resulting computed distance or location can be used to alert an administrator, provide a map of connected devices and/or automatically disconnect one or more suspect devices. Alternatively or in combination, changes in received signal amplitudes, time delays and/or other signal characteristics can be used to detect changes in the network due to intrusions.

  • Patent number: 4063964
Abstract: The method allows the formation of a self-aligned guardring surrounding a Schottky barrier device. The resulting guardring is as close to the Schottky barrier device as is possible. This reduces the area of the chip used by other guardring forming techniques of the prior art. The method involves first opening a hole in an insulator to expose the silicon surface. The Schottky barrier forming metal is then deposited over the insulator and the silicon surface. Heat treatment of the appropriate temperature and time is utilized to form the metal silicide Schottky barrier device. During this device formation, there is a volume shrinkage in the metal silicide which forms a narrow annulus of exposed silicon around the metal silicide contact. The unreacted metal is removed. Ion implantation of ion of opposite polarity to the exposed silicon is imparted to the structure to form a guardring surrounding the Schottky barrier device.
