  • Patent number: 9610695
Abstract: A hair-clipping device comprises a stationary cutter member (2; 52; 102; 152; 202; 252; 302; 352), at least one movable cutter member (7; 57; 407; 457), and a drive (9, 14, 15; 465) coupled to the movable cutter member (7; 57; 407; 457) for driving movement of the movable cutter member (7; 57; 407; 457). The stationary cutter member (2; 52; 102; 152; 202; 252; 302; 352) has an outer surface (3; 53; 103), a chamber (4) bounded by an inner surface (5) and at least one hair-catching opening (6; 56; 406) extending from the outer surface (3; 53; 103) to the inner surface (5). The movable cutter member (7; 57; 407; 457) comprises at least one cutting edge (8), fits in the chamber (4) with a free, close fit and includes a continuous carrier (15; 465) oriented in longitudinal direction of the movable cutter member (7; 57; 407; 457). The cutting edges (8) are provided on cutters (16) projecting radially from the carrier (15; 465). A set of cutter members for such a hair-clipping device is also described.

  • Patent number: 8341845
Abstract: A hair-clipping device includes a main body, a main hair-clipping unite supported by the main body, and additional hair-clipping unit having an active hair-clipping portion extending over a longitudinal dimension and being supported by a supporting unit. The supporting unit, at least in one predetermined working position of the active hair-clipping portion, extends only over a part of the longitudinal dimension. Thereby at least one free end portion of the active hair-clipping portion exists that can, for example, be easily inserted into the nose to remove nose hair.

  • Patent number: 7698822
Abstract: A personal care apparatus having a hair trimmer, a main part and a head part. The head part being connected to the main part in a region of the main part that is adjacent to the head part and is pivotable relative to the main part. A personal care tool is provided on the head part and comprising a toothed cutting mechanism that has at least one drivable toothed blade and a spring of a U-shaped configuration has a cross-member connected to the head part and two sides co-operating with at least one position extension connected to the main part in the region of each of its two sides. The spring acts between the head part and the main part, and the head part is pivotable by the spring in synchronization with varying displacing forces that act on the head part in the course of a personal care process.

  • Publication number: 20090265938
Abstract: The invention is directed to a hair-clipping device (100) comprising: a main body (110), main hair-clipping means (112) supported by the main body (110), and additional hair-clipping means (114) having an active hair-clipping portion (116) extending over a longitudinal dimension (118) and being supported by supporting means (120). In accordance with the invention the supporting means (120) at least in one predetermined working position of the active hair-clipping portion (116) extend only over a part of the longitudinal dimension (118). Thereby at least one free end portion of the active hair-clipping portion exists that can, for example, be easily inserted into the nose to remove nose hair. However, the additional hair-clipping means (114) are preferably not limited to this function, but can also be used, for example, for conventional hair trimming etc.

  • Publication number: 20010004896
Abstract: A hair-cutting system (1) comprising a hair-cutting apparatus (2) for cutting hairs, having a cutting device (3), and a comb device (4) which at least during operation is mounted on the hair-cutting apparatus (2) in the area of its cutting device (3) and which has juxtaposed comb elements (5), in which system (1) at least some of the comb elements (5) can be applied to a skin area of a person during operation, each of said comb elements (5) having a proximal end (6) and a distal end (7) and a contact zone (8) extending between the two ends (6, 7). At least one of said comb elements (5) comprises a rigid part (13) and flexible connection means (10) attached to each other, by means of which the comb element (5) adapts itself to the contour of the skin region it is applied to during operation. This improves the raising of hairs on curved regions of the skin area by the comb element (5), so that the hairs can be cut properly, and it improves the handling of the apparatus (2).
