  • Patent number: 6468112
Abstract: A cable management system (20) is provided including a rack (22) for holding telecommunications equipment (24), and a ribcage cable support member (60) along a vertical side of the rack. The ribcage cable support member includes a plurality of forwardly and rearwardly extending ribs (116, 118). The ribs each include cable retention tabs (124). A plurality of spools (70) are provided for cable storage on the ribcage cable support member. Holes (82) through the ribcage cable support member allow access between the front and rear portions. An additional rack may be positioned on an opposite side of the ribcage cable support member to the first rack, and two columns of ribs are provided. Resilient plastic edge protectors (150) may be fitted onto the ribs (119).

  • Publication number: 20020025718
Abstract: An angled mounting plate is provided for mounting a connector at a bulkhead in an angled manner, such as for a coaxial or triaxial connector system. The angled mounting plate mounts to a yoke mounted around the connector. The yoke includes identical mounting halves held in place by fasteners. The yoke is held to the mounting plate by further fasteners. Vertical mounting plates can also be provided for mounting to the connectors. The bulkhead can be provided with mounting structure for mounting directly to the yokes.

  • Patent number: 6109963
Abstract: A repairable transmission line connector is provided where the center conductor has a front removable portion, and a rear portion crimped to the center conductor of the transmission cable. An outer sleeve mounted to a first coaxial conductor of the cable includes a removable front portion, and a rear portion crimped to the first coaxial conductor of the cable. An insulator holds the front center conductor wherein the insulator is held by the rear outer sleeve and the front outer sleeve. The front and rear outer sleeves, and the front and rear center conductors form a connector assembly. In a triaxial connector the connector assembly is surrounded by an insulating sleeve disposed within front and rear connector bodies connected to the cable. By disconnecting the front and rear connector bodies (if present) and the front and rear outer sleeves, access to the front center conductor is permitted for replacement of the front center conductor. The front outer sleeve and the insulator can be replaced as desired.

  • Patent number: 6045378
Abstract: A switching coaxial jack (10') includes first and second parallel aligned electrically conductive coaxial center conductors. The center conductors are divided into front portions (42a', 44a') and rear portions (50a', 52a'). The rear portions include movable springs to separate the rear portions from the front portions. A V-shaped switching spring (70') connects the rear portions. Levers (90', 92') push the rear portions out of connection with the switching spring and into connection with the front portions upon insertion of plugs into forward ports of the jack. Waveguides (210, 212, 214, 216, 218, 220, 222) provide matching of the impedance of the jack to the impedance of the telecommunications line.
