  • Patent number: 11939532
Abstract: The present application provides a method and a system for recycling a polymer. The method includes introducing polymer into a primary melting extruder, producing a polymer melt that is combined with a fluid oil to at least partially dissolve the polymer melt. A secondary mixing extruder mixes these to form a polymer solution that is introduced into a refinery oil stream, producing a polymer-comprising oil stream, which is fed into a refinery process unit. The system includes a primary melting extruder for forming a polymer melt from polymer. A secondary mixing extruder receives the polymer melt. One or more hydrocarbon inflow conduits for providing a fluid oil to the primary melting extruder and/or the secondary mixing extruder are configured to form a polymer solution from the fluid oil and the polymer melt. There is a feed system outlet for feeding the polymer solution to a refinery oil stream.

  • Publication number: 20240029117
Abstract: Techniques, described herein, enable a dynamically manageable quick response (QR) driven information platform. The platform may enable users to create pin pages for products, services, events, etc. Creating a pin page may include associating a web page with a customized QR code and designing the pin page to include images, videos, text, hyperlinks, or other types of information. The QR code may be presented at, for example, tradeshow booths, social network environments, political interest event, and/or one or more other scenarios, and users may use a smartphone to access the pin page via the QR code. Users may also create an account, which may be used to save or “like” pin pages, access additional information about the pin page, create a registry of contacts or “friends”, share pin pages with others, etc. Additional features of the techniques are described herein.

  • Patent number: 9174745
Abstract: A system and method for checking the fuel quantity of a vehicle based on vehicle performance includes predicting vehicle performance based from a number of vehicle related input parameters including assumed fuel quantity to provide predicted vehicle performance data. Actual vehicle performance is measured from a number of vehicle sensor systems to provide measured actual vehicle performance data. The predicted vehicle performance data is compared with the measured actual vehicle performance data to provide an indication as to whether the vehicle is operating within a selected tolerance of the prediction. An alert message is provided if the vehicle is determined to be operating outside of the selected tolerance of prediction.

  • Patent number: 8977492
Abstract: Present novel and non-trivial system, device, and method for generating a temporary, pop-up, location-dependent clock to the pilot of an aircraft. A clock generator may be configured to retrieve approach procedure data representative of waypoint location such as the location of a final approach fix; receive navigation data representative aircraft location information; determine the passing of the waypoint inbound to the applicable airport; and perform one repetitive clock operation of a plurality of repetitive clock operations upon the passing of the waypoint, wherein an image data set is generated and provided to one or more display units. The image data set could be representative of (1) a pop-up timer displaying a counting down of time from the manually-initialized, estimated time, or (2) a pop-up stopwatch displaying a counting up of time when the estimated time is not manually initialized.

  • Publication number: 20060218053
Abstract: A merchant generates a customized service strategy related to a suite of electronic transaction services hosted by a service provider. The custom strategy specifies services to perform, and possibly an order in which to perform the services, by a service provider in relation to an electronic transaction associated with the merchant. Through use of a user interface, the strategy can be represented as a graphical decision tree, with terminal nodes representing services or actions. A customized strategy is transmitted to a service provider, as is transaction related information, whereby the service provider can service the transaction according to the strategy and based on the transaction information. Scheduling information that specifies different strategies to apply to different transaction scenarios can be generated. A strategy is selected by a service provider based on the scheduling information and transaction information, and is used to service one or more electronic transactions.
