  • Patent number: 8549582
Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and system that handles a multi-protocol name in a virtualization environment includes determining and predicting with a virtualization management computing device when a name collision occurs between content names of different content accessible by two or more protocols. The virtualization management computing device restricts access to the different content in one or more network attached storage devices when the name collision is determined to occur to one or more of the protocols which can distinguish the different content. It preserves access to the different content in certain cases where the collision can be predicted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2009
Date of Patent: October 1, 2013
    Assignee: F5 Networks, Inc.
Inventors: Michael John Andrews, Stephen Thomas Rust
  • Publication number: 20110127827
Abstract: A wheel rim for use with an inflatable tyre for a vehicle comprises a pressure relief valve or a weakened section in the rim (11). The valve may comprise a main body (1) having flanges (2, 3) sealing against opposite faces of the rim (11) and legs to retain the valve in the rim. The weakened section may comprise a number of fingers radiating out from a central point. When the pressure inside a tyre on the rim exceeds a certain value the valve or weakened section releases the pressure to prevent over inflation and possible injury.

  • Patent number: 6048089
Abstract: The invention relates to a mixing apparatus for maintaining a pressure differential over varying feed rates by mixing a flow of sludge with a flocculant. The mixing apparatus includes a monitor for monitoring the pressure differential across the apparatus and a device for varying the size of an orifice in the apparatus through the sludge flows. The orifice size is dependent on the monitored pressure differential to maintain a desired differential pressure over a range of sludge feed rates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 6, 1997
Date of Patent: April 11, 2000
    Assignee: Thames Water Utilities Limited
Inventors: Michael John Andrews, Christopher Bosher
  • Patent number: 5885445
Abstract: This invention relates to a belt press for dewatering sludge, such as sewage sludge. The press includes a camera to monitor physical operation of a gravity belt section of the press. A numerical control device uses electromagnetic radiation received from the gravity belt section to control the physical operation of the gravity belt section. An actuator device may be used to control a height of a weir for distribution of the sludge over the gravity belt section, and another actuator device may be used to control positions of ploughs which plough the sludge.
