  • Patent number: 12512552
Abstract: An example computing device includes a housing including a battery compartment to receive a removable battery, a cover engageable with the housing to close the battery compartment, and a device connector positioned inside the housing at a fixed position relative to the housing. The device connector is to make an electrical connection with a complementary battery connector of the removable battery when the removeable battery is disposed within the battery compartment. The cover includes an engageable element to engage a complementary engageable element of the battery connector to move the battery connector to break the electrical connection with the device connector when the cover is moved to disengage from the housing.

  • Publication number: 20250362718
Abstract: In some examples, a hinge assembly can include a hinge bar including a rotation axis, a lock cam including a protrusion, the lock cam located coaxially with the rotation axis of the hinge bar, and a removable hinge cap to cover the hinge bar and the lock cam where the removable hinge cap includes a lock flange, and where the protrusion is located adjacent to the lock flange to prevent translation of the removable hinge cap relative to the hinge bar when the lock cam is in a lock position.

  • Patent number: 12439521
Abstract: In some examples, a device comprises a circuit board including a sliding channel and a locking aperture and a locking device comprising a shelf, a stay disposed on a first surface of the shelf, an extension member connected to a second surface of the shelf, the second surface being opposite the first surface, and a wing extending from the extension member, the wing including a locking tab, where the extension member is to interface with the sliding channel of the circuit board and the locking tab is to interface with the locking aperture of the circuit board such that the stay is to secure a computing module to the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20230418338
Abstract: An example device includes an elongate rod attachable to a first portion of a portable computer housing. The elongate rod includes widened portions arranged along a length of the elongate rod. The device further includes an elongate channel attachable to a second portion of the portable computer housing. The elongate channel includes complementary widened portions arranged along an elongate opening that longitudinally extends along the elongate channel. The elongate rod is shaped and sized to be laterally insertable into and removeable from the elongate channel when the widened portions of the elongate rod are longitudinally aligned with the complementary widened portions of the elongate channel to allow assembly and disassembly, respectively, of the first and second portions of the portable computer housing.
