    Abstract: A filament connector for fastening a fishing hook or a swivel to a fishing line, or for fastening two fishing lines together, includes a body provided with an internal cavity connected to the exterior of the body by an aperture, a pair of walls of the cavity converged towards the aperture, a wedge member positioned and movable within the cavity has part surfaces facing the walls of the cavity, whereby a filament can be formed into a bight within the cavity, around the wedge member and out through the aperture so that tension in the filament pulls the wedge member towards the aperture, the filament becoming trapped between at least one of the walls and the adjacent part surface of the wedge member.
