  • Patent number: 8613630
Abstract: A latch assembly is provided for latching a pluggable electronic module to a receptacle assembly. The latch assembly includes a yoke assembly having an actuation end that is movable between a latched position and an unlatched position. A lever is operatively connected to the yoke assembly to move the actuation end of the yoke assembly between the latched and unlatched positions. A latch element is operatively connected to the actuation end of the yoke assembly. The latch element is movable along a latch axis between an extended position and a retracted position as the actuation end is moved between the latched and unlatched positions, respectively. • Publication number: 20100062124
Abstract: A process for the production of a commercial mineral whey product derived from a feed stream of milk or whey, said process including the steps of: primary de-mineralisation of the feed stream, preferably carried out by either membrane separation or ion exchange to produce a high potassium stream and a demineralised stream; secondary demineralisation of the high potassium stream, either by precipitation and subsequent separation of a predominantly calcium-phosphate complex, or by the removal of calcium by ion exchange; concentrating the high potassium stream to obtain a concentrate having a total solids content of around 20 to 60% by weight; and further processing of said concentrated said high potassium stream into a desired form for storage and distribution.

  • Patent number: 7618262
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a contact sub-assembly having a plurality of contacts arranged on a contact support member. The contact support member has a pair of opposed support walls extending from a base to a mating end, and the support walls are separated by a gap that extends from the mating end toward the base. The contacts extend at least partially along the support walls between the mating end and the base, wherein a first set of the contacts are provided on one of the support walls and a second set of the contacts are provided on the other of the support walls. The contacts are exposed to the gap for connection with a mating connector received within the gap. The electrical connector also includes a housing having a cavity configured to receive the mating connector, wherein the contact sub-assembly is received within the cavity for mating with the mating connector.

  • Patent number: 6079994
Abstract: A switching coaxial electrical connection arrangement (10) including a plug (60) and a receptacle (20). The plug (60) has an outer shell (68), a dielectric (70) disposed inside the shell (68) and a center contact (72). The center contact (72) has a pin (104) extending from the dielectric (70) toward a mating end (64). The pin (104) is located along an axis which is separate from the central axis of the plug (60). Upon mating with the receptacle (20), the pin (104) engages a movable contact (38) at a point which is off center to urge the movable contact (38) away from a fixed contact (36). Because the movable contact (38) is engaged and urged at a point which is off center, it both translates and rotates away from the fixed contact (36).

  • Patent number: 5921793
Abstract: A coaxial connector 2 is provided having a central insulator 6 which surrounds the signal contact, an impedance element 18 such as a resistor disposed around the outside of the central insulator 6 which is in contact with the outer conductive housing 4 on one end and a spring 10 on the other end. The spring 10 extends around and along the outside of the central insulator 6 and is in contact with a switch contact 14 which is also disposed around the central insulator. The switch contact 18 is biased towards, and is normally in contact with the center conductor 12. The switch is actuated by an actuator 16 which is placed around the center conductor 12 and is movable in cooperation with the mating connector 90 to open or separate the switch contact 14 from the center conductor 12.

  • Patent number: 5741146
Abstract: A switch comprises a housing which holds first and second contacts. The first contact has a pair of first contact arms which are spaced-apart on opposite sides of a pin-receiving cavity. The second contact has a resilient contact arm which extends into the pin-receiving cavity and includes laterally extending wings which are normally engaged with respective ones of the first contact arms. The resilient contact arm is arranged to be deflected by a pin which is inserted into the cavity, wherein the second contact becomes disengaged from the first contact when the pin is installed in the cavity.
