In one embodiment, an interface may comprise a depression and a dividing wall, wherein the dividing wall forms at least one closed plane figure. In another embodiment, an interface may comprise a depression, a dividing wall forming at least one closed plane figure, and at least one raised feature positioned within the depression. In a further embodiment, an interface may comprise a depression formed into the substrate, the depression surrounded by a closed peripheral wall exhibiting a thickness of about 0.080 inches or less. A rotary drill bit including at least one cutting element is also disclosed.
