  • Publication number: 20210242693
Abstract: An electrically powered vehicle includes a plurality of batteries and a plurality of DC to DC converters, each coupled to a respective battery of the plurality of batteries. Each DC to DC converter transfers power from a respective battery to a common DC bus. The common DC bus is coupled to a plurality of inverter circuits that convert the DC power to AC power. A plurality of electric motors receive power from the plurality of inverter circuits to propel the vehicle. During a regenerative event, the DC to DC converters can transfer power from the motors back to the batteries. In response to the failure of a battery, the DC to DC converters can isolate the remainder of the system from the failure.

  • Patent number: 11080106
Abstract: In an apparatus performing multi-threaded data processing event handling circuitry receives event information from the data processing circuitry indicative of an event which has occurred during the data processing operations. Visibility configuration storage holds a set of visibility configuration values, each visibility configuration value associated with a thread of the multiple threads and the event handling circuitry adapts its use of the event information to restrict visibility of the event information for software of threads other than the thread which generated the event information when a visibility configuration value for the thread which generated the event information has a predetermined value. This allows multi-threaded event monitoring to be supported, whilst protecting event information from a particular thread for which it is desired to limit its visibility to software of other threads.

  • Patent number: 11077626
Abstract: A compression roller device includes markers on roller heads for pressure-rolling over a substrate to form visual indicia that the substrate has been properly pressure-rolled. In example embodiments, there are two roller heads that each have a set of markers and that are spaced-apart with a handle center-mounted between them. In this way, the roller heads have free/unobstructed outer/opposite edges so they can be positioned closely against an obstructing surface or element for rolling substrates in tight spots with limited clearance. Also, the recess defined between the inner/facing edges of the roller heads provides clearance for rolling over any protruding fasteners securing the substrate in place. Further, the spaced-apart marker sets provide for marking the visual indicia on both sides of a seam/joint between two adjacent panels in a panel-and-tape system to show that both longitudinal side portions of the tape have been pressure-rolled.

  • Publication number: 20210231007
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a downhole device including an actuator which has a primary purpose to operate the device while also having a secondary purpose to induce controlled pulses into a downhole environment at a first location for detection at a second location. A control package can be connected to the actuator. The control package is operable to detect a trigger event and control the actuator to cause the controlled pulses in the downhole environment in response. In some aspects, the trigger event is the reception of a command sent to the downhole device from the surface and the controlled pulses serve to provide a feedback signal receivable at the surface.
