    Abstract: Methods for improved operation of vehicles in a work area are provided. A method for autonomously moving a vehicle between disjoint work areas involves following a transit path, keeping the vehicle within a geofence around the transit path, and stopping for situational assessment if an obstacle is encountered. A method for providing real-time navigation updates based on moving obstacles in a work area updates a route plan for a target vehicle based on the predicted speed and trajectory of other vehicles and obstacles.

    Abstract: Methods for optimizing path planning for agricultural vehicles are provided. In one embodiment, a field is defined, passes completely covering the field are created, the ends of each pass are transformed into nodes, distance and time matrices for the nodes are computed, and an optimization problem incorporating the time and distance matrices, agricultural constraints, and time window requirements is formulated. Prior to solving the optimization problem, verification that a feasible solution to the optimization problem exists is performed, and constraints are adjusted if a feasible solution does not exist. The optimization problem may be solved using a quantum annealing process to achieve an optimized route that performs well in an agricultural setting.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for generating agronomic yield maps from field health imagery maps are described herein. In an embodiment, an agricultural intelligence computer system receives a field health imagery map for a particular agronomic field. The system additional receives data describing a total harvested mass of a crop on the particular agronomic field. The system computes an average yield for the plurality of locations on the particular agronomic field. Using the field health imagery map, the system generates a spatial distribution of agronomic yield based, at least in part, on the average yield. The system then generates a yield map using the spatial distribution of agronomic yield.
