  • Patent number: 10655799
Abstract: An LED module of a lighting device includes an optic that includes one or more internal lenses, which are to be rotationally aligned with corresponding LEDs held within the module. In order to correctly rotationally align the LEDs with the lenses, the module includes one or more notches in the end of the module, which line up with and receive corresponding detents formed on the exterior surface of the optic. When the optic is mounted in the module with the detents in the notches, the LEDs line up with the lenses. Additionally, the side surface of the optic includes indicia indicating a characteristic of the optic, e.g., the lens' angles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 2, 2018
Date of Patent: May 19, 2020
    Assignee: AURORALIGHT INC.
    Inventors: Michael Joye, John Hradnansky
  • Patent number: 10598368
Abstract: Pathlights for illuminating paths, walkways, and other landscape and architectural features advantageously incorporate light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) as an illumination source, and a visor which both directs the light and dissipates heat generated by the LEDs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 1, 2018
Date of Patent: March 24, 2020
    Assignee: AURORALIGHT, INC.
    Inventor: Michael Joye
  • Publication number: 20190346086
Abstract: Generally disclosed may be an LED lighting module (including but not limited to lamps, light bulbs, or light fixtures) with (i) rapidly replaceable LED light source units, (ii) rapidly replaceable driver circuitry, and (iii) efficient heat transfer. An aspect of the rapid replaceability of the disclosed light source is self-registration of the source's light elements, electronic drive components, and heat sources respectively relative to the optical, power supply components, and heat sink components of a lamp or other lighting device.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 10, 2019
    Publication date: November 14, 2019
