  • Patent number: 12318778
Abstract: A microfluidic chip system for generating droplets is provided by the present disclosure. The microfluidic chip system includes a droplet generation device for generating the droplets, a power generation device for supplying power to the droplet generation device, a collection container for collecting the droplets flowing out of the droplet generation device, a connection device connecting the droplet generation device, the power generation device, and the collection container to each other, and a preparation platform holds together the droplet generation device, the power generation device, and the collection container. A method for preparing the droplets is also provided by the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 12208391
Abstract: A method for preparing droplets using a microfluidic chip system is provided. The microfluidic chip system includes a droplet generation device, a power generation device, a collection bottle, a connection device, and a preparation platform, the droplet generation device includes a chip body, the chip body defines a continuous phase inlet for receiving a continuous phase and a dispersed phase inlet for receiving a dispersed phase. The power generation device is activated to form a pressure difference among the collection bottle, the connection device, and the chip body, wherein the pressure difference promotes the dispersed phase and the continuous phase to converge and flow into the collection bottle in form of the droplets.

  • Patent number: 12110479
Abstract: This disclosure includes microfluidic devices, systems, and methods for investigating three-dimensional (3D) cell structures (e.g., organoids, spheroids, scaffolds, hydrogels, and the like). Some examples of the present microfluidic devices comprise: a body having a first end, a second end, to lateral edges, an upper side, a lower side, a first layer region between a medial plane of the body and the lower side, and a second layer region between the medial plane and the upper side. In some such examples, the first layer region defines one or more rows of wells, with each well open at the medial plane and having a bottom between the medial plane and the lower side.
