  • Patent number: 10051872
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically recovering flesh from beheaded and gutted fish, comprising a transport device for transporting the fish tail-first along a transport path in transport direction T, and a separating device (14) for separating the flesh from the bone structure, wherein the separating device has at least two rotatably driven and controllable circular knives arranged at a distance from each other on mutually opposing sides of the transport path in order to form a gap S. The two circular knives are designed to be pivoted about an axis I, II that differs from a horizontal orientation, wherein the axes I, II are oriented in such a way that, by pivoting the circular knives about the axes I and II, the point P of the smallest gap size between the circular knives can be positioned differently from the lowest knife point M of the two circular knives.

  • Publication number: 20140012540
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for automatically monitoring an apparatus for processing meat products, in particular fish, comprising a prediction unit for determining a yield-relevant prediction variable, the prediction unit being connected to input sensors for acquiring geometric and/or weight data of the meat product fed to the apparatus for meat processing, a yield determining unit for determining at least one yield-relevant yield variable, the yield determining unit being connected to the output sensors for acquiring geometric and/or weight data of the meat product processed by the apparatus for meat processing, and a difference unit for calculating a difference variable from the difference between one of the prediction variables and the at least one corresponding yield variable, the difference unit in each case being connected to the prediction unit and the yield determining unit. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for automatically monitoring the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5779531
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus for removing a surface layer from fish fillets. To permit the apparatus to operate with high precision and optimal yield for a large variety of fish species it comprises an entrainer roller which serves as a conveying surface and a pressing shoe having a pressing surface spaced from the outer surface of the entrainer roller by a gap. The pressing shoe comprises a guide for an endless belt knife. Pressing means in the form of a plurality of driven pressing rollers are arranged in an area directly above the cutting edge of the knife to act on the knife as the fish fillets are processed. The pressing rollers are mounted to rotate with two degrees of freedom thus permiting them to exert pressure with maximum surface possible and reliably flatten the fish prior to its arrival at the belt knife.

  • Patent number: 5061221
Abstract: In an apparatus for dividing fish fillets of the type as shwon e.g. in German Patent 36 23 002 there is used a sorting device, the aim of which is to sort automatically fillet pieces gained under the aspect of predetermined geometric or volumetric properties. To this end, a connecting conveyor is arranged downstream of a belt conveyor of the dividing device leaving a space therewith, in which space is installed a set of flap elements which can be swivelled about a common axis by single activation. In their activated position these function as a transfer chute between the said conveyors, whereas, in their rest position, there remains a discharge shaft downstream of the belt conveyor of the dividing device. The selection of the flap elements to be activated occurs in accordance with a predetermined programme, which makes said selection in accordance with the respective cutting position of the cutting elements of the dividing device and, if necessary, controls these elements with respect to the time parameters.
