    Abstract: A microwave assisted fluidized bed processor, comprising a fluidized bed vessel and a microwave generating means for providing microwave energy into the fluidized bed vessel. The fluidized bed vessel defines a microwave cavity for enabling variously-oriented, reflected microwaves to be produced within the cavity. The cavity defines an electrical continuum with appropriate microwave security screening means to enable all the microwave energy to be confined within the cavity.
