Abstract: A protective panel for use on a steel sheet piling wall can protect the wall from corrosion in a marine environment. The panel includes a layer of anti-corrosion gel, a layer of compressible foam that is impregnated with additional anti-corrosion gel, and layer of inert semi-rigid shell. Corrosion-resistant mechanical fasteners hold the panels in place against the steel sheet piling. If the sheet piling wall has significant corrosion, it should be cleaned prior to application of the protective panel.
