  • Publication number: 20220038990
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for routing information from a source node to a target node in a mesh communicating network comprising a plurality of nodes. Each node comprises a transceiver circuitry and is configured to communicate wirelessly with adjacent nodes. The method comprises: setting a data communication rate for each node, estimating a number of transmissions, ETX, needed for a successful link-local transaction between adjacent nodes in the network, determining alternative routes between the source node and the target node, via one or more transit nodes, determining a rank between the source node and the target node for each alternative routes based on ETX and data communication rate for each transit nodes, and routing information using the route having the lowest rank.

  • Patent number: 11108843
Abstract: A wireless mesh network and a method of reducing for reducing a sampling rate of a streaming protocol in a multi-hop mesh network is disclosed. The method comprising: receiving, by a source node in the mesh network, an input data stream; generating, by the source node, a plurality of sample frames from the received input data stream, each of the plurality of sample frames having a sample rate that can be handled by the mesh network, transmitting the plurality of the sample frames to one or more sink nodes and reconstructing the input data stream from the plurality of sample frames received at the one or more sink nodes. The input data stream may be received from an application outside the mesh network or from an application in the source node. The reconstruction may use interpolation, which may be dynamically varied, and may be informed by metadata transmitted from the original source node.

  • Patent number: 9208680
Abstract: A system and method for identification of a particular one device from an array of networked devices. Each of the devices are individually addressable by a controller on the network, and a technician preferably identifies a particular one device by use of a handheld remote control. Pointing one of transmitter/receiver pair at a device including the complementary component allows remote disambiguation based upon ranging and signal strength, particularly when using a pair of orthogonal antennas to discriminate and confirm which particular device is being pointed to by the remote. Optional confirmation helps improve identification robustness, and then the properly identified device may be configured/commissioned.

  • Publication number: 20150137958
Abstract: A system and method a wireless remote control solution is implemented in an integrated circuit (IC) and that IC is specified to the controller manufacturer. The controller manufacturer provides an IC-compatible electromechanical interface in communication with a central processing unit (CPU) of the controller. When the manufacturer is ready to implement a wireless solution, the IC is installed into the IC-compatible electromechanical interface. Different wireless solutions and/or protocols are enabled by the manufacturer's choice of IC that is installed.

  • Patent number: 6215773
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangement to control an established wideband connection through a switching unit regarding frame integrity of the time slots. The invention is suitable to be used in a switching unit of TST-structure. A first counter, related to respective input selector stage, counts incoming data frames. This first counter cycles through a predetermined number of states, where one state is a control-state. Each time slot belonging to the wideband connection to be tested is given a control mark during one of the control-states. A second counter, related to respective output selector stage, counts outgoing data frames. The second counter cycles through the same number of states as the first counter. Marked time slots are detectable by respective output selector stage. The state of the second counter and the output channel number of the control marked time slot is stored as a marked time slot is detected.
