Publication number: 20240245511Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve delivery system having one or more features which facilitate access to a target annulus and improve maneuverability. The system may have a flexible access sheath having an inner lumen and a proximal handle attached to an elongated flexible catheter extending distally therefrom and having an outer diameter sized to fit through the access sheath. An expandable prosthetic heart valve is crimped and positioned in an inner lumen and near the distal end of the delivery catheter. A distal tapered nose cone attaches to the delivery catheter and facilitates passage through the patient's vasculature. An inner tube extends from the proximal handle through the delivery catheter inner lumen, through the prosthetic heart valve, and attaches to the nose cone. Finally, the system has a guidewire that extends through the proximal handle along the delivery catheter and projects distally from the nose cone. The system is especially useful for transfemoral atrioventricular valve replacements.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Matthew Michael Becerra, David Robert Landon, Payam Saffari, Yevgeniy Davidovich Kaufman, Jesse Robert Edwards, David M. System and Method for Generating Automatic User Interface for Arbitrarily Complex or Large Databases
Publication number: 20080046462Abstract: A software system automatically and dynamically generates a fully functional user interface (UI) based upon, and connected directly to, an underlying data model (as instantiated within a relational database management system (RDBMS)). The UI derives from an automated interrogation of the RDBMS, and comprises all mode displays (e.g., browse, search, edit, add) for all tables, and a full complement of mechanisms—integrated directly into the mode displays—for representing, navigating, and managing relationships across tables, regardless of the complexity of the underlying RDBMS schema. It utilizes a hierarchical “context stack” for suspending the working state of a particular table while “drilling down” to work with related-table information and return relevant changes to the base table.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2007Publication date: February 21, 2008Inventors: Michael Kaufman, Micah Silverman -
Patent number: 7213686Abstract: A scissor lift mechanism (1) having at least two scissor elements (4, 5) connected in pairs by a swivel axis (3). The drive (11) for raising and lowering the scissor elements (4, 5) is provided by a traction member (13). To reduce the driving power required for operation while at the same time reducing control complexity, the scissor lift mechanism (1) is equipped with two coupling bridges (14, 15) situated on opposite sides of the swivel axis (3) and pivotably supported by thrust struts (22, 23) on each of the two scissor elements (4, 5), respectively. The distance “a” between the coupling bridges (14, 15) and the resulting height of lift “h” are easily variable by applying a tractive force “F” via the traction member (13, 25) which is guided around reversing rollers (16) and back and forth along a plurality of generally parallel paths (18, 19, 20, 21) between the two coupling bridges (14, 15).Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2004Date of Patent: May 8, 2007Assignee: Pro Hub Hebetechnik GmbHInventor: Michael Kaufman

Publication number: 20060089798Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for displaying map information on a computing device. Data are stored for rendering a simulation of travel along one or more road segments prior to embarking on travel along the road segments. The simulation is comprised of a sequence of views of the road network along each road segment from vantage points above or along the road network. Each road segment may be part of a calculated route and the simulation may include views for all the road segments contained in the calculated route. While the computing device is being conveyed along each road segment, the data stored for the simulation is used to show a view of the road network that includes the current position of the computing device on a display of the computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2004Publication date: April 27, 2006Inventors: Michael Kaufman, James Herbst, Steven Devries, Eric Groth
