  • Patent number: 11876830
Abstract: A network based hyperlocal authentication system and method is described. After establishing communications between a gateway and a remote network component, and after establishing communications between a wireless client device and the remote network component, the wireless client device requests an exclusive local key from the remote network component. The remote network component generates and transmits the exclusive local key to the gateway. The gateway then transmits the exclusive local key to the client device application with a gateway short range gateway transceiver. The wireless client device receives the exclusive local key from the gateway and then requests and receives a cryptographic material from the remote network component. The wireless client device communicates with the remote network component with the exclusive local key, received from the gateway, and the cryptographic material, received from the network component.

  • Publication number: 20240015688
Abstract: An indoor mapping system and method utilizing beacons are described. The system includes a physical premises map, one or more beacons disposed within the physical premises, a beacon location, a plurality of measured signal strengths, and a wireless device. The beacon location is layered on the physical premises map, and the plurality of measured signal strengths are captured from the beacons. The wireless device includes an indoor positioning module, and the wireless device receives one or more beacon identifier when it is within a broadcast range of the beacons. The wireless device also determines a signal strength of the received beacon identifiers. The indoor positioning module associates the measured signal strengths from the beacons with their corresponding beacon location. Each beacon location is further associated with a plurality of calculated signal strengths that are generated from the measured signal strengths.

  • Patent number: 11842318
Abstract: Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities for tracking an item delivery are provided. In one embodiment, an item is associated with a vehicle (e.g., manned or unmanned terrestrial vehicle, nautical vehicle, and/or aerial vehicle) by updating item data in a database. An item tracking session is then generated based on the item data. Upon the determination that session availability trigger has occurred, access to the item tracking session is provided to a user. Data representing an updated location of the delivery vehicle is then used to update the item data to indicate the current location of the item as the updated location of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11721147
Abstract: A system and method for managing a vehicle cloud service are disclosed. The system utilizes a cloud management module that transmits vehicle access invitations to end users according to an authentication performed by a third-party cloud service. The third-party cloud service authenticates end users requesting vehicle access through an identifying message transmitted by the end user's wireless mobile client device. The identifying message includes identifying information, such as a user profile having a plurality of user preferences and at least one user credential indicating the end user has a valid driving license. A synchronization module synchronizes directory services for one or more cloud services including the vehicle cloud service.

  • Patent number: 11706733
Abstract: A system for determining the location of a wireless device is described, the system includes a map, a fixed beacon, a fixed sensor and a server component. The server component receives a beacon identifier and a beacon signal strength from a wireless device. A sensor is located on the map. The fixed sensor receives the beacon identifier and the sensor captures a measured sensor beacon signal strength. The sensor is communicatively coupled to the server component. The server component receives the beacon identifier and the measured sensor beacon signal strength from the fixed sensor. The server component uses the beacon identifier and the beacon signal strength communicated by the wireless device and the sensor beacon signal strength and the beacon identifier received by the sensor to determine the location of the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 11570205
Abstract: A Network Based Hyperlocal Authentication (NBHA) system and method for anonymous contact tracing is described. The NBHA system and method operates as a background process, which is passwordless and continuously authenticates and performs cryptographic operations to secure communications between a wireless client device and a remote network component. A gateway includes a short-range wireless transmitter that transmits authentication credentials to the wireless client device having a short-range wireless receiver. The wireless client device uses the authentication credentials to authenticate to the remote network component. The network component then generates an exclusive local key for the wireless client device that is transmitted by the gateway. The client device application then requests cryptographic material from the remote network component. The client device application encrypts and decrypts communications to the network component with the cryptographic material and the exclusive local key.
