Abstract: An adapter system for attaching one or more accessories to an object comprising a first segment and a second segment, the first segment having a first bottom wherein the first bottom further comprises a first bottom chamfered recess having a central pin, the second segment having a second top wherein the second top further comprises a second top chamfered surface configured to be received into the first bottom chamfered recess and having an opening to receive the central pin, wherein one of the first top and second bottom have means of removably or slidably attaching to one or more rails and one of the first top and second bottom have means of removably attaching to one or more devices and wherein one or more of the first bottom chamfered recess and second top chamfered surface further comprises one or more strong magnets or electromagnetic field generating objects.

Abstract: A realtime engine for interfacing one or more data feeds with an applications. Each of the data feeds delivers realtime data for each member of an associated group of items available through the data feed. The interface includes logic for caching the most recent data values received from a selected one of the data feeds for at least some members of the associated group of items for the selected data feed. The interface also includes logic for sending at least some of the cached data values to the application in response to a request for updates.

Abstract: An input-output port control subsystem for use with a computer system having separate source and destination buses incorporated therein. Said system including circuitry for controlling operations of said system and said input/output subsystem, said subsystem including a bidirectional input/output bus for transferring data to and from said system, and separate gating means for selectively connecting said source and destination buses to said bidirectional I/O bus. External devices are connected to said bus thru an adaptor unit which is directly connected to said processing system by appropriate control lines. The input/output subsystem is adapted to operate either under programmed I/O control mode thru the central processing system or in cycle steal mode wherein the I/O devices themselves request cycle steal service time on the I/O bus thru their connected adaptor.
