  • Patent number: 8166413
Abstract: A system and method for displaying and providing access to information on a display unit are provided for combining a plurality of logical progression steps into a plurality of predetermined groups. Each of the plurality of predetermined groups includes a subset of data. The system and method includes displaying the plurality of predetermined groups in a collapsed format; prompting a user to expand a first group of the plurality of predetermined groups; allowing the user to access and input data into the first group; and allowing the user to access a second group of the plurality of predetermined groups once all logical progression steps in the first group have been completed by the user.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6411401
Abstract: A method and programmable gray scale halftoner with object oriented resolution capability apparatus are provided for selecting a resolution and gray level range to deliver halftone value data to an associated laser output device. The apparatus includes an input buffer adapted to receive a first group of n pixel data values, each having a resolution object tag associated therewith. A mapping circuit maps the first group of pixel data values to a first one of a plurality of resolution object tags. A first configurable gray scale halftone generator is adapted to generate n halftone values in a range of from 0-8 Bit Gray level modes, each of the n halftone values being associated with a single pixel data value among the first group of pixel data values. Second and third configurable gray scale halftone generators are each respectively adapted to generate n/2 and a single halftone value in a range of from 0-8 Bit Gray level modes.

  • Patent number: 6252677
Abstract: A method and apparatus of rendering object oriented image data into a frame buffer of an imaging device using a set of rendering state information is provided. Object oriented image data is read into the imaging device together with an imaging operator associated with the object oriented image data. The object type of the imaging operator is determined. Based on the object type of the imaging operator, a set of rendering state information is selected from a plurality of sets of rendering state information stored beforehand in the imaging device. Using the rendering state information, the imaging device renders the object oriented image data into a frame buffer of the imaging device for ready display.

  • Patent number: 6094662
Abstract: On an embedded device with a web server, pages are marked as having non-cacheable HTML portions and cacheable graphics portions. Marking the HTML portion as non-cacheable allows for the retrieval of a web page containing the latest status information without retrieving the graphics images. A refresh function is provided that allows for the comparing of non-cached portion time stamps with the stamps of the page on the web server. When the time stamp of the page on the web server is more current than the time stamp of the non-cached portion, the non-cacheable portion of the web page is retrieved from the web server. Retrieving the non-cacheable HTML portion from the web site without retrieving the cached portion reduces the amount of time needed to refresh the display image. A timer may be employed to refresh the web page at predetermined intervals, while using the current URL or the history list of the browser to reach the desired web site and retrieve the current status of the embedded device.
