  • Publication number: 20240168542
Abstract: Examples of augmented reality (AR) environment control advantageously employ multi-factor intention determination and include: performing a multi-factor intention determination for summoning a control object (e.g., a menu, a keyboard, or an input panel) using a set of indications in an AR environment, the set of indications comprising a plurality of indications (e.g., two or more of a palm-facing gesture, an eye gaze, a head gaze, and a finger position simultaneously); and based on at least the set of indications indicating a summoning request by a user, displaying the control object in a position proximate to the user in the AR environment (e.g., docked to a hand of the user). Some examples continue displaying the control object while at least one indication remains, and continue displaying the control object during a timer period if one of the indications is lost.

  • Patent number: 11865662
Abstract: A blade sharpener for manual use includes a base, and at least one sharpening device pivotally attached to the base. Each sharpening device has a channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. A second pivotally attached device may be sharpening device or a guide. The two devices are pivotable independently of each other thereby accommodating any curvature of a blade to be sharpened as the blade sharpener is moved along the blade. A blade sharpener for use with a powered rotary tool includes a main body having a bore for receiving the powered rotary tool, and a channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. A guide having a channel is pivotably attached to the main body to accommodate any curvature of a blade.

  • Publication number: 20230398652
Abstract: A blade sharpener for use with a powered rotary tool having a rotatable sharpening element includes a main body having a bore for receiving the powered rotary tool, where the bore extends through the main body along an axis and the main body has a first channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened. The first channel is perpendicular to the rotary axis and opens into the bore to permit a blade to engage the sharpening element. The blade sharpener also includes a guide having a guide channel for receiving a blade to be sharpened where the guide is pivotally attached to the main body to accommodate any curvature of a blade to be sharpened as the blade sharpener follows along the blade.

  • Publication number: 20220217903
Abstract: A mower includes a frame, a blade assembly, and a reel. The blade assembly is supported by the frame for rotation about a first axis between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The reel is supported by the frame for rotation about a second axis. The reel defines an outer diameter relative to the second axis and engages the blade assembly at a contact location in the engaged position. The outer diameter defines a tangent at the contact location. A force in a direction substantially parallel to the tangent is operable to produce a first torque in a first direction about the first axis when the blade assembly is in the engaged position. The weight of the blade assembly is operable to produce a second torque in a second direction about the first axis when the blade assembly is in the engaged position.
