  • Patent number: 11808421
Abstract: An illuminating device for a motor vehicle, in particular, a high-resolution headlamp for a motor vehicle, comprising an LED light source having a plurality of LED elements, whose light outlet surfaces are used for the targeted generation of pixels of a light distribution generated in the outer region of the motor vehicle during the operation of the illuminating device, the light outlet surfaces being arranged in a matrix-like manner in a first direction and in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, the first direction corresponding to the horizontal direction in the light distribution generated in the outer region of the motor vehicle, and the second direction corresponding to the vertical direction in the light distribution generated in the outer region of the motor vehicle, and the light outlet surfaces at least of a plurality of LED elements each being larger in the first direction than in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 11402734
Abstract: A multi-lens array is provided for a luminous source of a vehicle. The array includes at least one light source and multiple lens arrangements. Each lens arrangement includes a condenser lens and a projector lens as optical elements. The at least one light source is enabled to expose each of the multiple lens arrangements with light, and the projections of the multiple lens arrangements of this light interfere to form a single projected image.

  • Publication number: 20150204502
Abstract: An adjusting device for headlights which has adjustment means for adjusting a light distribution having a cut-off line to a predetermined position. The headlight has a matrix of semi-conductor-based light sources and an optical unit arranged in the main direction of the beam in front of the light sources for reproducing the light sources as a number of adjacent light spots which form the light distribution. First adjustment means are provided for aligning a vertical cut-off line of the light distribution in a vertical reference line on a screen arranged at a distance from the headlight. Second adjustment means are provided so that the vertical cut-off line of the light distribution can be displaced by a horizontal adjustment path, which is smaller than a horizontal width of a light spot limiting the vertical cut-off line.

  • Patent number: 8292481
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle headlamp containing a multiple number of LED light sources and at least one optical unit upstream of the LED sources, whereby the LED light sources are arranged in groups with one group of LED light sources to generate a specified light distribution, whereby the LED light sources within one group of LED light sources are of equal size, whereby the dimensions of the LED light sources within one group of LED light sources and/or the optical unit demonstrate the illumination characteristics needed to ensure that the group of LED light sources completely fulfills at least one specified lighting function in the vehicle environment, whereby light spots are produced with a vertical and/or horizontal critical angle within the range of between 0.2° and 1°.
