  • Publication number: 20230092277
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for indicating mechanical properties, and to a computer-readable storage medium, the system having a simulation unit which is designed to determine a cooling behavior of at least a part of a component to be produced, said component having amorphous properties, a computing unit which is designed to determine at least one amorphicity value at least for a part of the component to be produced, taking account of the determined cooling behavior, a prediction unit which is designed to indicate mechanical properties of the component to be produced, taking account of a geometry of the component to be produced, the at least one amorphicity value, at least one production parameter and/or a production method.

  • Publication number: 20230093303
Abstract: Amorphous metals are a new class of materials in which advantageous physical properties can be achieved. Amorphous metals require rapid cooling in the injection-molding process, which is not achieved in the case of a large number of geometries. The invention relates to a method for adapting a component description of a workpiece to be produced with amorphous properties, which method comprises: —defining a cooling behaviour of at least a part of a workpiece to be produced, taking account of a component description of the workpiece; —adapting at least a part of the component description, taking account of the defined cooling behaviour of the workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20210291275
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a metal powder for additively manufacturing a shaped metal body by means of laser beam melting, wherein the metal is a metal of Group 11 of the periodic table of the elements or aluminium or an alloy or intermetallic phase of one of these metals and has an oxygen content of at least 2500 ppm by weight.

  • Publication number: 20200130280
Abstract: In 3D printing, due to the geometry to be printed, inhomogeneous material properties of the printing product can occur. This problem is solved by a method of determining printing process parameter values for a 3D printer, including producing at least one meta-model, wherein the at least one meta-model indicates a relationship between at least one printing process parameter and at least one product property of a printing product for object data, wherein the object data indicate a digital representation of an object to be printed. The method also includes determining at least one first printing process parameter value for the at least one printing process parameter in a first printing area and at least one second printing process parameter value for the at least one printing process parameter in a second printing area taking into consideration the at least one meta model and the object data.

  • Patent number: 9589768
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for producing a reflection-reducing layer on a surface (21) of a plastics substrate (20). The apparatus comprises a first sputtering device (3) for applying a base layer (22) to the surface (21) of the plastics substrate (20), a plasma source (4) for plasma-etching the coated substrate surface (21), and a second sputtering device (5) for applying a protective layer (24) to the substrate surface (21). These processing devices (3, 4, 5) are arranged jointly in a vacuum chamber (2), which has inlets (8) for processing gases. In order to move the substrate (20) between the processing devices (3, 4, 5) in the interior of the vacuum chamber (2), a conveying apparatus (10) is provided which is preferably in the form of a rotary table (11). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing such a reflection-reducing layer on the surface (21) of the plastics substrate (20).
