    Abstract: It is provided a locking device, comprising: a rotary latch pivotally mounted on a housing between a locking position and an unlocking position, a blocking element movable between a blocking position and a release position, by which the rotary latch is blocked in the locking position when the blocking element is arranged in the blocking position, and a driving device that can be activated for moving the blocking element from the blocking position into the release position. There is provided an unlocking element that is pivotally mounted on the housing independently of the driving device and is adapted to urge the blocking element from the blocking position into the release position.
