  • Patent number: 6785322
Abstract: A Node-B/base station receiver comprises at least one antenna for receiving signals. Each finger of a pool of reconfigurable Rake fingers recovers a multipath component of a user and is assigned a code of the user, a code phase of the multipath component and an antenna of the at least one antenna. An antenna/Rake finger pool interface provides each finger of the Rake pool an output of the antenna assigned to that Rake finger. A combiner combines the recovered multipath components for a user to produce data of the user.

  • Publication number: 20040047439
Abstract: A Node-B/base station has a path searcher and at least one antenna for receiving signals from users. The path searcher comprises a set of correlators. Each correlator correlates an inputted user code with an inputted antenna output of the at least one antenna. An antenna controller selectively couples any output of the at least one antenna to an input of each correlator of the set of correlators. A code phase controller selects a user code for input into the set of correlators. Each delay of a series of delays delays the selected user code by a predetermined amount and each correlator of the set of correlators receives a different code phase delay of the selected user code. A sorter and path selector sorts the output energy levels of each correlator of the sets of correlators and produces a path profile for a user based on the sorted output energy levels.

  • Patent number: 6663163
Abstract: With a cover device for a folding top compartment of a vehicle with a lowerable roof structure, in particular for a hardtop vehicle, it is possible to pivot the roof structure into the folding top compartment arranged behind a frontregion in a back part of the vehicle bodywork. The compartment can be closed with a folding top compartment lid which can be folded up towards the rear. A cover unit with two lateral cover parts can close a free space which is formed between the closed folding top compartment lid and the rear region. In order to simplify actuation of the individual cover parts, the lateral cover parts are pivotably mounted on the folding top compartment lid in such a way that, in an active position, the lateral cover parts adjoin the front edge region of the folding top compartment lid and, in a passive position, they bear against the underside of the folding top compartment lid.

  • Patent number: 6595944
Abstract: A machine and method for preparing dialysis fluid for a dialysis machine. Fresh water is mixed with one or more dialysis fluid concentrates. The mixture of water and concentrates is conveyed into an equalizing chamber by a proportioning unit at a predetermined flow rate independent of the dialysate flow rate. Metered addition of the concentrates is performed volumetrically and is monitored on the basis of the conductivity of the dialysis fluid, which is measured by conductivity sensors. Because the mixture of water and concentrates is always conveyed at the same flow rate, the composition of the dialysis fluid can be determined with a high accuracy and the proportioning can be performed accurately.

  • Publication number: 20030127866
Abstract: A locking mechanism is provided. The locking mechanism includes a mounting plate that carries a locking hook. The locking hook is pivotal with respect to the mounting plate and may be pivoted from an unlocked position to a locked position. A motor is in communication with a locking hook, and is capable of causing the locking hook to be pivoted to the locked position. The locking mechanism may be opened by use of an electronic key, and may contain electronics capable of recording the date and time a particular key was used to open the locking mechanism. Also, the locking mechanism may be capable of being locked without the use of the motor when the motor is disabled due to power disruption or other circumstances.

  • Publication number: 20030121440
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for cooling material to be printed and printing machine elements at sheet-fed rotary printing machines by means of cooled compressed air. It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus which requires little space, is able to cool effectively the material to be printed as well as the machine elements, which are undesirably heated by the dryers. Pursuant to the present invention, this objective is accomplished by providing an apparatus wherein cooled, compressed air is supplied over one or more sheet-guiding devices for guiding the sheets pneumatically along the sheet-guiding path, and a cooling device is disposed in the cross section of flow of the compressed air or the sheet-guiding device.
