  • Patent number: 4591345
Abstract: A confined animation figure toy includes a housing which is at least partially transparent, and an animation figure confined in the interior of the housing. The animation figure is suspended from an elongated operating element which passes through the top part of the housing from the exterior of the housing to its interior and is connected at its end remote from the figure to an actuating element. The actuating element can be constructed as a ring for receiving a finger of the user, and the elongated element may be a string which is guided on the back wall of the housing in a guiding eyelet. In the alternative, the actuating element may be constructed as a spring-biased slide partially received in a channel of the bottom wall of the housing, or as a crank rotatably mounted at the back wall of the housing. It is also possible to provide more than one operating element, each such operating element being connected to a different part of the toy figure and being independently displaceable.

  • Patent number: 4383689
Abstract: A game whose object is the formation of words or groupings of symbols utilizing a plurality of multi-faceted playing pieces, such as cubes, each of whose faces bears a single symbol such as a letter. The playing pieces are positioned in a receptacle which is mounted for spring-loaded pivotal movement on a support structure. The receptacle is engaged in cocked position by a latching mechanism attached to the support, and when the latching mechanism is disengaged, the receptacle is rapidly rotated about a horizontal axis, causing the receptacle to forcefully strike an abutment mounted on the support, thus scrambling the pieces. The receptacle then is restored to the cocked position in which the playing pieces are so supported that a single upper symbol is displayed on each piece.

  • Patent number: 4332096
Abstract: A gravity flow display device which is usable for selectively and alternatingly exhibiting two different but conceptually related displays. The device has two thin transparent walled half-hourglass compartments through which displays at their rears are visible. The device further contains non-transparent particulate matter which is capable of flowing from compartment to compartment in response to gravitational force and which is of a sufficient quantity to almost completely fill only whichever of said compartments contains it. When said non-transparent particulate matter is contained within one of the two transparent compartments, the display attached to said compartment is blocked from view.
