  • Patent number: 8988261
Abstract: A delta-sigma D/A converter, by which a digital valued, input signal is convertible into a binary, clock signal time discrete, output signal. By forming an average value of the output signal over a number of clock signal cycles, an analog value of the input signal can be displayed. The delta-sigma D/A converter is embodied in such a manner that, in use, it provides the output signal by serial arrangement of signal patterns of a set of signal patterns, wherein the signal patterns of the set are, in each case, binary, clock signal time discrete and extend over a signal pattern cycles total of a plurality of clock cycles. At least two signal patterns of the set have mutually different signal pattern average values, which are formed over the respective signal pattern cycles total, and all signal patterns of the set have, in each case, essentially the same number, especially exactly the same number, of edges.

  • Publication number: 20130187790
Abstract: A measurement transmitter having an interface for transmission of measured values via a fieldbus, wherein communication via the fieldbus occurs according to a fieldbus protocol, wherein the number of measured values provided by the measurement transmitter exceeds the number of measured values retrievable by means of a basic command of the fieldbus protocol, wherein the measurement transmitter has a plurality of fieldbus addresses, and wherein a logic unit is provided, which serves so to distribute the measured values among the plurality of fieldbus addresses of the measurement transmitter that the measured values are retrievable via the plurality of fieldbus addresses of the measurement transmitter by means of the basic command.

  • Patent number: 5870956
Abstract: Lithographic printing is carried out by a novel process utilizing a zirconia ceramic as a printing plate. In this process, the surface of the zirconia ceramic printing plate is imagewise exposed to radiation which transforms it from a hydrophilic to an oleophilic state or from an oleophilic to a hydrophilic state, thereby creating a lithographic printing surface which is hydrophilic in non-image areas and is oleophilic and thus capable of accepting printing ink in image areas. The zirconia ceramic printing plate utilized in this process is capable of extremely long printing runs, is especially well adapted for direct digital laser imaging using images that are electronically captured and digitally stored, and can be reused by erasing the image from the ceramic surface by thermally-activated oxidation or laser-assisted oxidation.
