  • Publication number: 20070263700
Abstract: A method for pressure-independent temperature determination using a metal diaphragm is provided. A bridge circuit having multiple resistors is provided on this diaphragm. One pair of resistors is near the center of the diaphragm and another pair of resistors is situated at a distance from the center. The resistors are provided on the metal diaphragm in such a way that the tensile elongation of the pair of resistors near the center corresponds in absolute value to compressions of the pair of resistors far from the center.

  • Publication number: 20070138724
Abstract: A handheld, portable, motorized clamping device is disclosed. The device includes a housing, a frame, a stationary clamp member, and a displaceable clamp member. The displaceable clamp member may be repositioned by a drive assembly, or may be manually adjusted. In another embodiment of the invention, the stationary clamp member may be repositioned on the frame to alter the dimensions of the clamp opening. In still another embodiment, the clamp device operatively connects to a secondary tool that engages the drive assembly.

  • Patent number: 5343211
Abstract: An antenna subject to standoff sidelobe barrage jamming exhibits a null in its sidelobe structure at a selectable elevation angle for all azimuth angles of interest. The null can be set to the elevation angles corresponding to the angle of the standoff jammers. The null is generated with the aid of an interferometer associated with each column of the antenna array. The interferometer produces a pattern having a plurality of lobes. The interferometer pattern is phased and amplitude adjusted relative to the antenna pattern of its associated column line array so that subtraction of the patterns causes one or more sidelobe of the antenna pattern to be at least partially canceled. An azimuth beamformer combines the elevation patterns of a plurality of column arrays, each connected to its own interferometer, to produce a pencil beam with a sidelobe structure exhibiting a null at the particular elevation angle.
