  • Publication number: 20250043736
Abstract: An apparatus can be arranged and configured so that after a gas turbine is shut down due to a detected condition, a higher autoignition temperature fuel can be utilized to purge a fuel delivery system and facilitate a quicker restart of the turbine. Embodiments can utilize conduits, valves, and a control system for detection of a fault condition warranting a shut down, purging of a lower autoignition temperature fuel via venting and use of a higher autoignition temperature fuel for purging to facilitate subsequent restarting of the turbine. Embodiments can be configured so an inert gas purge is not needed for venting and purging of the fuel delivery system.

  • Patent number: 11256333
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments that relate to implementation of multi-stage gestures, using multi-stage gestures to control applications, and allowing, under certain conditions, invocation of an open operation (which would normally only open an application or bring an application to the fore) to cause a target application to terminate before being newly opened. A multi-stage gesture may be used to invoke different functions at respective gesture stages of a same input stroke. The functions may be different forms of application “closing”, such as backgrounding or suspending an application, terminating an application, and restarting an application. The restarting (including termination) of an application when the application is opened may be termed a “smart-restart”, which may involve interpreting from specific user activity that a user intends to restart an application.

  • Patent number: 11220104
Abstract: In an example implementation, a method of reducing inkjet aerosol in a fluid drop ejection system includes imaging fluid drops from an ejection event as the drops travel from an ejection nozzle toward a substrate, determining the momentum of each fluid drop from the imaging, comparing the momentum of each fluid drop with a threshold momentum, and determining that a fluid drop will become aerosol when its momentum does not exceed the threshold momentum.

  • Patent number: 11126013
Abstract: A spectacle lens has an object-side front surface and an eye-side rear surface and is made of a base material that includes an ultraviolet (UV) absorber, which functions as a band-stop filter for UV light. In a first variant, the band-stop filter has an upper cut-off wavelength between 325 nm and 360 with a transmittance of 2% for light which is incident on the front surface, transmitted through the spectacle lens, and emerges from the rear surface for each angle of incidence between 0° and 15°. Additionally or alternatively, in a second variant, the spectacle lens has an antireflective coating with a reflectance below 5% for UV light in a wavelength range between 280 nm and a threshold wavelength, which lies between 325 nm and 350 nm, and a reflectance of 5% at the threshold wavelength for each angle of incidence between 30° and 45°.
