  • Patent number: 11499047
Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous alkyd resin dispersions comprising a) a short oil alkyd resin comprising, in its fatty acid component a1), at least one polyunsaturated fatty monoacid a11) having at least two unsaturations per molecule and comprising at least 35% by weight of a monoacid a111) having conjugated unsaturations, the content by weight of said fatty monoacid a111), with respect to said alkyd resin, being at least 5%, preferably from 5% to 40% and more preferably from 5% to 35%, and b) at least one anionic phosphate surfactant. The invention also covers a preparation process and its use in decorative coatings. The coatings based on these aqueous dispersions exhibit improved performance qualities in resistance to blocking and yellowing, in development of hardness and in gloss.

  • Patent number: 10214613
Abstract: The invention relates to a polyester resin which is based on at least one fatty acid, with zero oil length (0%) or an oil length of between 0 and 35%, with a weight ratio of oxidizable fatty acids (monoacids), relative to the overall fatty acids, of 0 or greater than 0 and ranging up to 1, and which is based on an acid component comprising, in addition to the fatty acid, from 30% to 85% by weight, relative to the total weight of said resin, of rosin and/or of derivatives thereof bearing at least one carboxylic acid function.

  • Publication number: 20130197152

The resin of the invention is used as binder in coatings and in particular in water-based coatings such as paints, varnishes and surface coatings, in the form of an aqueous dispersion of resin, with particular performance in terms of aqueous dispersibility, development of hardness over time in the absence of siccativating agent during drying, and of resistance to yellowing and to water.

  • Patent number: 5089751
Abstract: This invention relates to fluorescent lamp controllers and dimming controls for use therewith and more particularly to the provision of a dimming control which provides protective isolation between input terminals and lamp energizing circuitry and which facilitates accurate and safe control of light intensity over a wide range. The invention provides dimming controls which are efficient and highly reliable and are readily and economically available.

  • Patent number: 5003230
Abstract: A fluorescent lamp controller uses a dimmer circuit having an isolation transformer. The controller applies a high frequency current to the primary winding of the transformer. The secondary winding is coupled to a control input via loading circuitry. A detector circuit supplies a signal to the lamp controller indicative of the resultant loading of the transformer to control lamp intensity.
