  • Publication number: 20160183864
Abstract: Systems and methods allow caregivers, central monitoring, and/or other persons to monitor whether a patient has moved or changed positions sufficient to prevent the patient from developing bedsores or at least reduce the chance of bedsores from developing. The systems and methods work by detecting when a caregiver has entered within a predefined patient or bed zone. The systems and methods detect whether the caregiver remained within the zone for a predetermined time period. If the caregiver fails to remain within the zone for the predetermined time period, an alert is generated as this could indicate that the caregiver was not present long enough with the patient for the patient to sufficiently move or change positions.

  • Publication number: 20160180668
Abstract: A system and method that allows caregivers, central monitoring services, and other persons to monitor whether a monitored individual's hand(s) have entered into an area where the caregiver has determined the monitored individual's hand(s) should not be, such as where the monitored individual may remove or disturb a piece of medical equipment. Where the monitored individual's hand(s) do enter the restricted area that is represented by an electronic virtual safety zone, an alert can be generated by the system and method.

  • Publication number: 20160098676
Abstract: A system and method for identifying a customer's location within a facility or place of business, such as, but not limited to a casino. The system and method provides notification company representatives upon arrival of the customer at the given location. Additionally, the method and system allows for navigational services to be provided to customers, and real-time location determination, location tracking and confirmation to customers of location and rewards program status. The disclosed method and system can work through a system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons communicating with the customer's smartphone, computer system, or other electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20160049028
Abstract: A method and system that allows authorized individuals access into controlled access locations and the ability to grant temporary and limited access to guests into these locations. The method and system allows for navigational services to be provided to members and guests, and real-time tracking and confirmation to members and administrators that guests have arrived at their destination and did not enter any unauthorized areas. The method preferably can work through a system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons communicating with member and guest's electronic devices. Members and administrators can send one or more temporary electronic access keys to a guest's smartphone or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons provide an access control and location tracking system with real-time data about the member and guest whereabouts, allowing for the confirmation and tracking.

  • Publication number: 20020000727
Abstract: A vehicle lock has a latching housing which can be fixed to a support or the body of the vehicle at a variable location, and a lock housing which can be introduced therein. Guide elements for latching wedges provided in the latching housing are composed of first and second rough- and fine-positioning guide elements. The first, rough-positioning guide means comprise a bore running in the latching direction within a latching wedge and a guide rod which engages axially in the bore and is fastened rigidly to the latching housing with guide play between the hole of a latching wedge and the associated guide rod. The second, fine-positioning guide elements in each case comprise a planar, inner guide surface of a side wall of the latching housing and a planar side surface of the particular latching wedge, which side surface is assigned to the particular guide surface.

  • Patent number: 5645667
Abstract: A method is utilized in which, when approaching the corner, a nozzle is rotated from a position with a nozzle slot positioned essentially transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the edge strip section in the direction of a position with a nozzle slot positioned in parallel to the median line of the corner area and, during the subsequent removal from the corner, continuously in the direction of a position with a nozzle slot positioned essentially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the present edge strip section. As a result, an edge strip, which has no interruptions and is acute-angled in the corner areas conforming to the surface, can be applied in one operation. The method can be employed, for example, in applying an adhesive bead to a vehicle window pane to be glued into a vehicle body opening.
