Abstract: Converting SQL databases to Enterprise JAVA Beans, when using conventional methods, has become a tedious, error-prone, time-consuming task. The invention, called BeanGrinder, automates the task so that a process hitherto taking days or weeks can be accomplished in matters of minutes. The user selects the databases to be converted, the tables for the resulting data, the target location, and the application server. Then, the user runs the BeanGrinder before running two batch command file programs to complete the task. The user is relieved of the need to write special conversion programs for every database to be converted.

Abstract: A system or method for scheduling supply driven processes such as the processing of mail includes projecting arrival data for mail articles during a processing period, determining a processing schedule of available equipment and personnel for processing mail articles during the processing period, simulating the processing of mail articles during the processing schedule determined for the arrival data to evaluate processing performance, and determining any changes for the processing schedule based upon simulating the processing. A method for scheduling a multi-operation process to handle arriving raw material of uncontrolled amounts and types, in accordance with performance objectives, includes similar steps.

Abstract: A computer product for generating application source code on a client computer for querying database tables on a server computer includes a portion for obtaining database structure information for the database tables from database table definition files on the server computer. The computer product also includes a portion operative to construct database queries using the database structure information. The database queries are constructed in a database query language required to query information from the database tables on the server computer. The computer product further includes a portion for constructing application source code commands for executing the database queries. The application source code commands are constructed in a programming language of the client application.
