  • Patent number: 9850030
Abstract: A parallelogram shaped box with side walls formed by parallel, generally rectangular bar members has a plurality of grommets inserted into the side walls between the bar members. Each grommet is trapped between adjacent bar members by clamping of adjacent bar members. Each grommet has a thickness greater than the thickness of the bar members and has a boss in the grommet with a pin retainer in the grommet, such as a straight hole. A pin placed in the pin retainer can support a decorative article so that external sides of the box can be decorated.

  • Patent number: 7634895
Abstract: A device for display and mailing of a gift. The device includes an inner gift holding box having a transparent top surface through which a display item could be viewed. This inner gift box is inserted into an outer mailing box. When the gift holding box is nested into the outer mailing box, the gift may still be viewed through a cutout on the top of outer mailing box. An opaque panel is inserted inside the outer mailing box over the transparent top surface of inner gift holding box. This panel allows the mailing box to be shipped without showing the contents of the box.

  • Patent number: 6000817
Abstract: A lamp having a coiled lamp shade disposed within and extending upwardly out of a frame assembly. The lamp shade is made of a translucent sheet, arranged in a loop or coil which bulges outwardly to form a wall which surrounds a lamp bulb assembly. The lamp shades can be of varying heights and shapes and is easily interchangeable with other lamp shades of the same type. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the frame assembly is a modular kit, having vertical and horizontal parts, which can be assembled to form a rectangular frame. Alternately, other types of frame assemblies, such as round shaped or preassembled frames, can be used.

  • Patent number: 5375705
Abstract: A package to display fabric items, such as scarves and handkerchiefs, or cards and note paper in combination with fabric items. The package is a folder that has two overlapping pockets with diagonally oriented openings which are in oblique facing relation to one another. The area bounded by the pockets defines a V-shaped bordered portion. The package is assembled by inserting the fabric item, or card and note paper in combination therewith, into both of the pockets wherein the fabric item is displayed within the V-shaped bordered portion. The front surface has at least one pocket with an aperture, and one end of the fabric item is fed therethrough. The folder is assembled from a single stiff paper blank containing a number of score lines along which it is folded. The assembled folder shape is maintained by interlocking panels thereby abrogating the use of adhesives.

  • Patent number: 5337889
Abstract: A package to display paper items having a rigid panel for reinforcing the items and a display folder with a pair of pockets for receiving the reinforced items. The folder has two partially overlapping pockets with diagonally oriented openings which are in oblique facing relation to one another. The package is assembled by inserting the item, backed by the reinforcing panel, into one of the pockets of the folder. The front pocket surface of the folder defines a uniformly colored triangular field to which a contrastingly colored decorative object is affixed. The diagonally bordered field and contrasting decorative object enhance the visibility of large irregularly patterned items inserted in the front pocket. Smaller display items are placed in staggered overlapping arrangement against the reinforcing panel and inserted in the rear pocket of the folder. In this configuration, the decorative object is centrally located at the intersection of the pocket openings.

  • Patent number: 4664282
Abstract: A structure for holding plants, flowers or other objects utilizes a plurality of generally rectangular bar members having a hole at each end, the generally rectangular bar members being stacked in alternate directions in a rectilinear array, the holes proximate the ends of the bars aligned with like holes in the ends of other of said bars, with a set of assembly rods each engaging the aligned holes to define a rectilinear structure, hinged at each corner. A tray having a rectilinear shape, such as, a rectangle or parallelogram (diamond) is adapted to be inserted between a selected layer of assembled bars and engage opposite pairs of the rectangular bar members to maintaining the sides of the rectilinear stacked array at a predetermined angle to each other in the general shape of the tray.

  • Patent number: 4529160
Abstract: Three or more vertical posts or decorative support members are connected to the ends of three or more articulable, serially connected linkage members by a base support pin or member proximate the bottom end of each of the vertical posts through the holes in the ends of the linkage members. The linkage members are disposed parallel to the supporting surface having their free and overlapping ends connected between the bottom end of the vertical post and the base support pin. The vertical posts are each provided with a receptacle for holding a decorative or utilitarian object proximate the top thereof. The vertical posts can be of various lengths to achieve a variety of decorative effects. The linkage members are arranged at an angle to each other to provide 3 or more points of support for the assembled structure.
