Abstract: A product on demand nozzle assembly includes a chamber at least partially defined by an external wall and an array of vertically spaced nozzles. Each nozzle has an air inlet, an air and entrained product outlet extending from the external wall, and an entrainment zone between the air inlet and the air and entrained product outlet to receive a product therein to be distributed.

Abstract: A medical capsule device for releasing a substance at a defined location in the gastrointestinal tract. The device has a capsule body defining one or more apertures in the circumferential wall thereof and a sleeve valve rotatably positioned therein having one or more corresponding apertures in the circumferential wall thereof. The sleeve valve comprises a coil and electrically connected heatable resistor which are operatively associated with an actuator member formed of a shape memory alloy responsive to heat and which will move from a non-heated first shape to a heated second shape. Actuator stop means are provided in the capsule body for being engaged by the actuator member during movement from the non-heated first shape to the heated second shape so that the actuator member movement will serve to rotate the sleeve valve to an open position.

Abstract: A device for producing images of a plurality of speech information symbols associated with speech sounds produced by a speaker into the field of view of a hearing-impaired person with one or more light emitting or illuminated arrays mounted paraxially with the viewer's line of sight on a transparent plate which subtends and mounts an adjacent eyeglass lens. A mirror is mounted on the lens to produce a magnified image in the field of view and reflect the image back to the viewer. The interior surface of the lens may be coated to form the mirror or spherical dimples may be ground into the surface before coating and the coated dimples then filled with a material having substantially the same refractive index as the lens.
