  • Patent number: 7387350
Abstract: A storage container having dual access includes a storage frame, a container lid and a drawer. The storage frame includes a bottom frame, a pair of interconnected side frames and a rear frame defines a first opening in the top of the frame and a second opening in the front of the frame. The removable container lid closes and opens the top opening in the storage container to allow access to the storage container contents. The drawer slides in and out of the second opening to allow a second access point to the contents of the storage container.

  • Publication number: 20080053862
Abstract: An article holder is provided including a bottom panel, a back wall extending from a rear edge of the bottom panel, first and second side walls extending from side edges of the bottom panel, each side wall being coupled to the back wall along a rear edge each side wall, a front flange spanning between the first and second side walls along front edges of the first and second side walls, and a slot in the bottom panel extending from the first side wall to the second side wall. The first and second side walls are farther apart from one another at front edges of the first and second side walls than at rear edges of the first and second side walls and the slot is adapted to receive a front flange of another like article holder when two or more article holders are stacked in a nested configuration.

  • Publication number: 20040232022
Abstract: A storage container has a base defining a bottom wall and a side wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall to define a storage receptacle. A first cover section is coupled to the base side wall and extends over a portion of the storage receptacle. An exterior side of the first cover section defines a writing surface. A second cover section is pivotably coupled to the base side wall and movable between a closed position, in which the second cover section overlies a remaining portion of the storage receptacle, and an open position, in which the second cover section is rotated away from the storage receptacle. The storage container may have an overall profile height that is sufficiently low to allow insertion of the storage container into a stowage space having a low profile height.

  • Publication number: 20040222174
Abstract: A file storage device has an exterior shell with an outer surface and an openable panel defining part of the exterior shell. The openable panel has a bottom edge, a forward facing surface, and a rear facing surface. The openable panel is pivotable about its bottom edge outward from the exterior shell between a retracted condition at which the forward facing surface is generally flush with the outer surface of the exterior shell and an open condition away from the outer surface of the exterior shell. A file support structure has a file storage area, an open top for insertion, access to, and removal of files from the file storage area, and a file suspension device provided to suspend files within the file storage area. The file support structure is disposed adjacent to the rear facing surface of the openable panel and is movable in concert with the openable panel. The open top is accessible when the openable panel is in the open condition.

  • Patent number: 5823817
Abstract: A cord guard for an electrical power supply cord, such as the power cord of an electric pressing iron, includes a flexible strain relief sleeve having a central passageway therethrough and an outwardly-flared bell at one end of the strain relief sleeve open to the central passageway. The central passageway is adapted to snugly receive an electrical power supply cord along the entire length of the passageway. To this end, the passageway is formed with minimal draft. The strain relief sleeve may be formed by a tubular body having a plurality of parallel, equally spaced, V-shaped grooves extending circumferentially therearound, or the strain relief sleeve may be formed by an open spiral body having a uniform outside diameter along its length. The cord guard permits bending through at least 180 degrees without kinking the power cord, prevents twisting of the power cord within the cord guard, and reduces stress on the power cord at the point at which it exits the cord guard.

  • Patent number: 5610373
Abstract: An improved scale, including bathroom-type scales, is provided by employing markings on the dial for calibrating the scale using photosensor equipment. The adjusting nut of the scale and the calibration stud of the scale are both accessible for automated mechanical calibration after assembly of the scale. As a result, an iterative calibration procedure is employed by machine as opposed to traditional manual methods. Photosensors read the dial and send a signal to mechanical driver or wrench mechanisms for automated calibration. The improved scale and calibration method reduces labor and production costs.
