  • Publication number: 20180361717
Abstract: A laminate structure includes a base layer, a thermally stable adhesive disposed on at least a portion of the base layer, and a thermally stable film overlying the base layer and the adhesive. The thermally stable film and the thermally stable adhesive are configured such that the laminate structure substantially resists deformation at a temperature of about 400° F. (204° C.) and above.

  • Publication number: 20180037360
Abstract: A container for holding a food product includes a bottom wall, a side wall, and a flange extending from the side wall. The bottom wall, the side wall, and the flange include a base layer, and the bottom wall and the side wall cooperate to at least partially define a cavity of the container. The container also includes an interior surface at least partially forming the cavity, an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, and an edge at the flange that extends between the interior surface and the exterior surface. A coating at least partially covers the base layer and at least partially defines the interior surface, and the edge includes an uncoated portion of the base layer. A protective strip covers the edge and prevents fluid from passing into the uncoated portion of the base layer at the edge.

  • Publication number: 20170217662
Abstract: A microwave heating construct that includes a bottom and upstanding side walls formed from a first pair of opposing side walls and a second pair of opposing side walls. The first pair of opposing side walls being substantially parallel and the second pair of opposing side walls being substantially parallel. The first pair of opposing side walls being connected to the second pair of opposing side walls along corners to form a continuous upper surface above the bottom. The construct includes at least one raised surface disposed above the bottom with the at least one raised surface being defined by an upper surface that slopes downwardly to the bottom. The construct can be packaged with a pad and a product to be heated under a film.

  • Publication number: 20170166384
Abstract: A container for holding a food product. The container can comprise a sidewall at least partially defining a cavity of the container, a flange extending from the sidewall, and a material comprising at least a base layer and a barrier layer on a face of the base layer. The flange and the sidewall each can comprise a portion of the material. The barrier layer can at least partially form an interior surface of the container, and the interior surface can at least partially extend along the cavity of the container. An absorption feature can extend in at least the barrier layer for allowing liquids to pass through the barrier layer and into the base layer.
